[01:16.000 --> 01:19.000]  And I really appreciate what Matt has done.
[01:19.000 --> 01:23.000]  And he's done a great job in terms of making the point.
[01:23.000 --> 01:30.000]  He's got a book, a very well selling book and it's a very quick read and it's really packed with information.
[01:30.000 --> 01:32.000]  Not that it's difficult to understand.
[01:32.000 --> 01:40.000]  It's not dense in that sense, but it is dense in terms of the richness that it conveys in a very small book that's easy to read.
[01:40.000 --> 01:45.000]  And he talks about it from a Christian perspective and even from a historical perspective.
[01:45.000 --> 01:49.000]  Even pagan Romans understood what we no longer understand in this country.
[01:49.000 --> 01:52.000]  And that is that there are higher moral laws.
[01:52.000 --> 01:57.000]  And we've had this discussion recently about should you follow illegal orders?
[01:57.000 --> 01:59.000]  I don't know why that's a controversy.
[01:59.000 --> 02:04.000]  But the fact that it is a controversy shows just how much we need this book from Matt.

[02:51.000 --> 02:54.000]  Let us, let us know how you, how did you become a pastor?
[02:54.000 --> 02:58.000]  What was life like for you before you became a pastor?
[02:58.000 --> 03:03.000]  Yeah, let me begin by saying I have a website where I wrote out my testimony,
[03:03.000 --> 03:04.000]  what Christ did in my life.
[03:04.000 --> 03:09.000]  I was 17 years old, nearly 18 when it all transpired,
[03:09.000 --> 03:16.000]  but I go into my life early on and the website is howjesuschangedmylife.com.
[03:17.000 --> 03:20.000]  And I got that website prize six years ago.
[03:20.000 --> 03:25.000]  You would have thought that URL would have already been taken, but it wasn't.
[03:25.000 --> 03:32.000]  And so I got it for two dollars and ninety nine cents, howjesuschangedmylife.com.
[03:32.000 --> 03:38.000]  And also Pacific Garden Mission has a show called Unshackled.

[03:48.000 --> 03:50.000]  And I also have the testimony of my mom.
[03:50.000 --> 03:52.000]  I did a short sermon about my mom.
[03:52.000 --> 03:55.000]  She was the first one in our family to come to Christ.

[04:00.000 --> 04:05.000]  So I grew up in the city of Detroit, Michigan, and I was born in 1960.
[04:06.000 --> 04:13.000]  And while I was living there, a transformation was taking place in the neighborhood.
[04:13.000 --> 04:19.000]  Bussing started in 1973, I think it was.
[04:19.000 --> 04:24.000]  There was all kinds of racial tension within the city.
[04:24.000 --> 04:28.000]  And where I grew up, I was a minority.
[04:28.000 --> 04:29.000]  So very different.
[04:29.000 --> 04:37.000]  I live in a country that the macroculture, I'm in the majority, but where I lived, I was in the minority.
[04:37.000 --> 04:43.000]  And so what ended up happening was as a young man, I got involved in drugs.
[04:43.000 --> 04:50.000]  And I never saw the reason to buy drugs when you could sell them and make a lot more money.
[04:50.000 --> 04:57.000]  I began to deal drugs and then add all of the free drugs you wanted on top of that.
[04:57.000 --> 05:07.000]  And then I got involved more with the bad crowd, stealing cars, robbing people, fighting other gangs, burning down buildings.
[05:07.000 --> 05:12.000]  These were all things that were part of my life.
[05:12.000 --> 05:17.000]  My dad had left when I was 11 years old on Christmas Eve.
[05:17.000 --> 05:23.000]  He left my mom, and that had a huge transformation in life at our house.
[05:23.000 --> 05:33.000]  And so I can't emphasize strongly enough how important it is for men to be in the home, for there to be fathers in the home.
[05:33.000 --> 05:34.000]  It has a huge impact.
[05:34.000 --> 05:43.000]  All the studies that have been done, David, show the negative impact upon sons and daughters when the man is no longer in the home.
[05:44.000 --> 05:57.000]  And unfortunately, by the time your average American turns 18 in America, more than half of them aren't living with their biological mother and their biological father.
[05:57.000 --> 06:01.000]  That's how broken down family is in America.
[06:01.000 --> 06:12.000]  Imprisonment, drug use, crime, all this type of stuff becomes far more prevalent in young men when there isn't a father in the home.
[06:12.000 --> 06:17.000]  And as I said, every statistic proves that it was true in my life.
[06:17.000 --> 06:20.000]  And so I was living that life.
[06:20.000 --> 06:26.000]  And all of a sudden, my mom threw me out of the house when I was 14 for dealing dope.
[06:26.000 --> 06:28.000]  And I went to live with my dad.
[06:28.000 --> 06:33.000]  He still lived in Detroit also and didn't have anywhere else to go.
[06:33.000 --> 06:37.000]  And he let me stay there for six months.
[06:37.000 --> 06:40.000]  And then after six months, he threw me out of his house.
[06:40.000 --> 06:43.000]  So I wasn't doing good there.
[06:43.000 --> 06:47.000]  And so I decided I'm going to go back and see if my mom will take me in.
[06:47.000 --> 06:53.000]  And I remember we hadn't seen each other during that six months while I live with my dad.
[06:53.000 --> 07:05.000]  And I remember standing outside her home and I was just a punk, you know, and I was thinking, man, I got to go in here and put up with her mouth and all this.
[07:05.000 --> 07:08.000]  And I didn't really want to knock on the door, but I didn't have anywhere else to go.
[07:08.000 --> 07:10.000]  I'm 15 now.
[07:10.000 --> 07:16.000]  And so I finally walked up and I knocked on the door and my mom opened it.
[07:16.000 --> 07:20.000]  And she actually smiled when she saw me and was so surprised.
[07:20.000 --> 07:22.000]  She said, Matt, come on in.
[07:22.000 --> 07:25.000]  I got to tell you what happened to me.
[07:25.000 --> 07:27.000]  And I was like, wow, OK.
[07:27.000 --> 07:34.000]  So I came in, I sat down on the couch and she starts sharing with me how Jesus has come into her life,
[07:34.000 --> 07:41.000]  forgiven her of all her sins, how she's flushed all her pills down the toilet.
[07:41.000 --> 07:44.000]  And she's a new creature in Christ.
[07:44.000 --> 07:46.000]  And I sat there and looked at my mom.
[07:46.000 --> 07:48.000]  I was like, I knew something.
[07:48.000 --> 07:51.000]  This was not the same woman I knew six months earlier.
[07:51.000 --> 07:55.000]  Something dramatic had definitely taken place in her life.
[07:55.000 --> 08:01.000]  Understand, my mom was always on psych drugs after the divorce.
[08:02.000 --> 08:06.000]  Four years earlier, it was such a huge impact on her, David,
[08:06.000 --> 08:11.000]  that she had a nervous breakdown and ended up in a psych ward for four months.
[08:11.000 --> 08:19.000]  Our grandparents actually came over and took care of us at the house while she was in the hospital.
[08:19.000 --> 08:23.000]  And she tried all kinds of things after that to find peace, to find happiness.
[08:23.000 --> 08:26.000]  She tried silver mind control.
[08:26.000 --> 08:36.000]  She tried men, you know, tried everything that the world tells you to find fulfillment in and peace and those types of things.
[08:36.000 --> 08:42.000]  And never. And so she was on these psych drugs to control her mood swings.
[08:42.000 --> 08:50.000]  Lo and behold, after I had left, she found out that my godmother, I was raised Catholic,
[08:50.000 --> 08:58.000]  my godmother, who was an alcoholic and had ruined her life, was put into a mental hospital.
[08:58.000 --> 09:02.000]  Three women came in, prayed over her, and God restored her mind.
[09:02.000 --> 09:06.000]  And she submitted her life to Christ and was radically transformed.
[09:06.000 --> 09:10.000]  So this news is all going around in the family.
[09:10.000 --> 09:16.000]  That veil that was the name of my godmother has radically changed her life.
[09:16.000 --> 09:19.000]  And she isn't drinking anymore. And she's out of the mental hospital.
[09:19.000 --> 09:28.000]  So my mom calls her up and wants to meet with her because her life, my mom's life is all messed up.
[09:28.000 --> 09:32.000]  So whatever happened to you, I want that to happen to me.
[09:32.000 --> 09:41.000]  My mom told me as I sat there on the couch, that bell came over and they met at the dining room table and she asked her point blank.
[09:41.000 --> 09:46.000]  She said, How did you change? Who's your counselor?
[09:46.000 --> 09:52.000]  Because my mom was always going to this counselor and another counselor and another counselor.
[09:52.000 --> 10:04.000]  And my godmother didn't want to tell my mom that it was Jesus who changed her life because she had been telling everybody that since she got out of the mental hospital.
[10:04.000 --> 10:10.000]  And they were all like, OK, you know, well, that's good for you.
[10:10.000 --> 10:12.000]  You needed that, you know, and things like that.
[10:13.000 --> 10:22.000]  So she didn't want to tell my mom because of the negative response and kind of mocking response she had gotten from various people.
[10:22.000 --> 10:25.000]  But my mom kept begging her and saying, Who's your come on?
[10:25.000 --> 10:29.000]  Hey, it's Ben Ferguson. And I want you to pause what you're doing for just one minute.
[10:29.000 --> 10:34.000]  And I want you to hear about love, generosity and compassion.
[10:34.000 --> 10:37.000]  We say those words all the time and they sound good.
[10:37.000 --> 10:39.000]  They feel good. But here's the truth.
[10:39.000 --> 10:43.000]  Those words don't mean anything unless they turn into action.

[12:35.000 --> 12:39.000]  And so she took my mom.
[12:39.000 --> 12:43.000]  I don't know if you remember back then, David, there was a huge revival taking place.
[12:43.000 --> 12:48.000]  A lot of Roman Catholics were being converted to Christ.
[12:48.000 --> 12:51.000]  And there was the Catholic Charismatic Movement.
[12:51.000 --> 12:53.000]  She took my mom to that.
[12:53.000 --> 12:56.000]  And my mom was totally turned off by it.
[12:56.000 --> 13:09.000]  But she went back a second time and she was completely transformed by the power of God and had become a new Christian, flushed all her pills down the toilet and was getting this walk with the Lord.
[13:09.000 --> 13:13.000]  So she was the first one in our family to come to Christ.
[13:13.000 --> 13:23.000]  And when I sat there and I listened to all this from her and she let me come back in her home, lo and behold, she gave me a book to read.
[13:23.000 --> 13:26.000]  She said, I want you to read this book.
[13:26.000 --> 13:40.000]  It's called The Cross and the Switchblade by David Wilkerson, who of course was the man who started Teen Challenge, which is an international organization meant to help young people who were caught up in gangs and drugs.
[13:40.000 --> 13:41.000]  Yes.
[13:41.000 --> 13:43.000]  And he was a country preacher from Pennsylvania.
[13:43.000 --> 13:48.000]  God called him to New York City and he went and preached amongst the gangs.
[13:48.000 --> 13:51.000]  Nikki Cruz was his first convert.
[13:51.000 --> 13:53.000]  Huge transformation.
[13:53.000 --> 13:55.000]  So I started reading this book.
[13:55.000 --> 13:56.000]  Right.
[13:56.000 --> 13:57.000]  The Cross and the Switchblade.
[13:57.000 --> 13:59.000]  First 40, 50 pages.
[13:59.000 --> 14:00.000]  A lot of gang stuff.
[14:00.000 --> 14:02.000]  OK, that holds my interest.
[14:02.000 --> 14:04.000]  And more of this Jesus coming in.
[14:04.000 --> 14:10.000]  And I was just like, so I threw the book aside after 40, 50 pages.
[14:10.000 --> 14:13.000]  So now another two and a half years go by.
[14:13.000 --> 14:16.000]  Matt Sweller keeps living in rebellion to God.
[14:16.000 --> 14:19.000]  My life keeps going down like this.
[14:19.000 --> 14:30.000]  And I could tell you 100 stories and I have some of them in that web at the website where I share my story of Jesus Changed My Life.
[14:30.000 --> 14:35.000]  But lo and behold, I ended up getting arrested for arson.
[14:35.000 --> 14:45.000]  And I got put into the county jail because they decided even though I was a minor, 17 years old, they were going to try me as an adult because of the seriousness of the crime.
[14:45.000 --> 14:52.000]  And so I went in and over the weekend I got stuck in a holding cell with two black guys.
[14:52.000 --> 14:53.000]  One was 40 something.
[14:53.000 --> 14:55.000]  He was in there for child molesting.
[14:55.000 --> 14:56.000]  The other guy was 19.
[14:56.000 --> 14:59.000]  He was in there for armed robbery.
[14:59.000 --> 15:01.000]  I was 17.
[15:01.000 --> 15:04.000]  All three of us know a little bit about God.
[15:04.000 --> 15:07.000]  The old guy was raised in a Christian home.
[15:07.000 --> 15:11.000]  The young guy, his dad was actually a deacon at a Baptist church.
[15:11.000 --> 15:14.000]  And of course, my mom had come to know Christ.
[15:14.000 --> 15:23.000]  If I could ever replay those videos, like when we get to Heaven, David, I'd love to see three dumb pagans talking about God.
[15:23.000 --> 15:27.000]  And I don't know where they were at, but I had a serious interest.
[15:27.000 --> 15:31.000]  I saw my life was in utter ruin.
[15:31.000 --> 15:39.000]  And so lo and behold, I spent those two days with them talking about we all talked about God almost the whole time.
[15:39.000 --> 15:52.000]  Kind of reminds me of the story about, you know, a blind man and you sit in next to an elephant and he's like feeling around and trying to describe what this thing is he's never seen before.
[15:52.000 --> 15:55.000]  It's got this really little chunk.
[15:55.000 --> 15:58.000]  But yeah, that's kind of what it was like, I guess.
[15:58.000 --> 15:59.000]  The elephant in the room, right?
[15:59.000 --> 16:00.000]  Absolutely.
[16:00.000 --> 16:01.000]  Yeah.
[16:01.000 --> 16:02.000]  The elephant in the room was Christ.
[16:02.000 --> 16:05.000]  Absolutely.
[16:05.000 --> 16:07.000]  I was going through withdrawal.
[16:07.000 --> 16:12.000]  We were all messed up on drugs and we happened to be right where they had service.
[16:12.000 --> 16:14.000]  We couldn't go to it.
[16:14.000 --> 16:17.000]  There was a guy in a suit who came by and the one guy asked him for something to read.
[16:17.000 --> 16:19.000]  Of course, he brought us all Bibles.
[16:19.000 --> 16:25.000]  When I read the Bible, David, I didn't feel any pain or suffering from the withdrawal I was going through.
[16:25.000 --> 16:26.000]  Set the Bible down.
[16:26.000 --> 16:30.000]  After a half hour, I'd start filling all the illness and sickness again.
[16:30.000 --> 16:35.000]  And so finally, on Monday, I get taken to the cell block.
[16:35.000 --> 16:37.000]  There's nine guys to each cell.
[16:37.000 --> 16:46.000]  And I walk in and this guy walks up to me and he says, we have two rules in this cell.
[16:46.000 --> 16:47.000]  There's no fights.
[16:47.000 --> 16:52.000]  And if you start a fight, number two, if you start a fight, we all jump on you.
[16:52.000 --> 16:55.000]  And I looked around the room and I was the smallest guy there.
[16:55.000 --> 17:00.000]  And I looked at him and I said, I like these rules.
[17:00.000 --> 17:03.000]  And he showed he showed me where my bunk was.
[17:03.000 --> 17:05.000]  So I went and climbed up on it.
[17:05.000 --> 17:12.000]  And there's a cement wall with a, oh, a shelf, a metal shelf on it.
[17:12.000 --> 17:15.000]  And there's one book sitting on it.
[17:15.000 --> 17:19.000]  And it was The Cross and the Switchblade by David Wilkerson.
[17:19.000 --> 17:22.000]  So here are two and a half years have gone by.
[17:23.000 --> 17:25.000]  And I picked that book up.
[17:25.000 --> 17:29.000]  I spent the next three days finishing the book, reading it.
[17:29.000 --> 17:34.000]  I had just put it down two minutes earlier and my probation officer comes in.
[17:34.000 --> 17:37.000]  She takes me out in the side room to meet with me.
[17:37.000 --> 17:41.000]  She goes, yeah, this is the sentence you're looking at.
[17:41.000 --> 17:50.000]  And we're going to try to get you into a live in drug rehab program for a year to begin with.
[17:50.000 --> 17:52.000]  I'll follow these drugs.
[17:52.000 --> 17:59.000]  And she goes, the program that we're looking to get you into is called Teen Challenge.
[17:59.000 --> 18:01.000]  So I had just put the book down.
[18:01.000 --> 18:05.000]  That was a story about how this organization started.
[18:05.000 --> 18:11.000]  And now here's this lady, my probation officer, saying we're going to try to get you into Teen Challenge.
[18:11.000 --> 18:15.000]  And that's exactly what happened.
[18:15.000 --> 18:17.000]  I ended up in Teen Challenge.
[18:17.000 --> 18:18.000]  The courts put me there.
[18:18.000 --> 18:19.000]  I was sentenced to three years.
[18:19.000 --> 18:22.000]  I had to spend the first year in a drug rehab program.
[18:22.000 --> 18:25.000]  Move over here because the sun's moving.
[18:25.000 --> 18:32.000]  And so I went to church the first Sunday after I was taken there.
[18:32.000 --> 18:42.000]  It was an assembly of God church called Brightmore Tabernacle on the west side of Detroit.
[18:42.000 --> 18:47.000]  So when I walked in, there's probably a thousand people there.
[18:47.000 --> 18:51.000]  And people are walking up to me saying how glad they are to see me.
[18:51.000 --> 18:53.000]  And I could tell they actually were glad to see me.
[18:53.000 --> 18:58.000]  It wasn't like they were glad to see me just because I had a joint to smoke or something like that.
[18:58.000 --> 19:01.000]  No, they were glad to see me because I was there.
[19:01.000 --> 19:10.000]  So then we walk into the sanctuary and everyone's talking, which for me was odd because being raised Catholic, it's like a pin drop.
[19:10.000 --> 19:12.000]  Nobody ever says anything.
[19:12.000 --> 19:14.000]  And it's quiet.
[19:14.000 --> 19:21.000]  And I was looking around thinking these people act like they're getting ready to see a movie or something.
[19:21.000 --> 19:25.000]  And then a lady came out and she sat down to piano and started playing.
[19:25.000 --> 19:28.000]  And people began to worship the Lord.
[19:28.000 --> 19:32.000]  And they weren't mumbling under their breath like I was used to when I was a kid.
[19:32.000 --> 19:36.000]  They were actually worshiping him.
[19:36.000 --> 19:40.000]  You could tell they really believe in him.
[19:40.000 --> 19:42.000]  They love him.
[19:42.000 --> 19:44.000]  It was astounding.
[19:44.000 --> 19:53.000]  And during the first worship song, as they're worshiping, all of a sudden I began to feel odd inside, David.

[19:55.000 --> 19:57.000]  I didn't want anyone to see that.
[19:57.000 --> 20:02.000]  So I sat down in my pew and I put my face into my hands.
[20:02.000 --> 20:11.000]  And for the first time in my life, I sat there and I felt really bad for all the sins I had committed, all the bad things I had done.
[20:11.000 --> 20:20.000]  And what it was was the Holy Spirit convicting me of my sin, showing me that I was a sinner in need of a savior, namely Jesus Christ.
[20:20.000 --> 20:28.000]  And so while I'm being convicted of my sin, at the exact same time, I'm tasting his love and his holiness.
[20:28.000 --> 20:31.000]  And I'm astounded. God actually loves me.
[20:31.000 --> 20:34.000]  I didn't even love myself. I didn't even think my mother loved me.
[20:34.000 --> 20:37.000]  God loves me.
[20:37.000 --> 20:40.000]  I remember that being the overriding thing.
[20:40.000 --> 20:51.000]  I sat in that pew with my face in my hands for an hour and a half and what the entire time.
[20:51.000 --> 20:57.000]  I remember I looked up one time and people were just staring at me like, are you OK?
[20:57.000 --> 21:04.000]  And at the end they had an altar call and they invited people to come up if they want to give their life to Christ.
[21:04.000 --> 21:05.000]  I didn't even go up.
[21:05.000 --> 21:11.000]  I already knew he had changed me, radically transformed me by the power of his Holy Spirit.
[21:11.000 --> 21:17.000]  And so I decided at that time forward that I would live for him.
[21:17.000 --> 21:20.000]  And that's what's happened.
[21:20.000 --> 21:23.000]  And that was a long time ago. I'm 65 now.
[21:23.000 --> 21:25.000]  That was when I was 17.
[21:25.000 --> 21:27.000]  Yeah, Christ radically transformed my life.

[23:11.000 --> 23:16.000]  You know, Matt, I've said for the longest time, you know, when we see what's going on down in Venezuela,
[23:16.000 --> 23:18.000]  it's being justified with the war on drugs.
[23:18.000 --> 23:23.000]  And I've said for the longest time, you know, I have real issues with the government being involved in prohibition
[23:23.000 --> 23:28.000]  because, you know, it didn't work when they did it with alcohol and alcohol was very harmful.
[23:28.000 --> 23:34.000]  I've said many times I would have supported that had I been back then because it was so harmful.
[23:34.000 --> 23:35.000]  It's like, yeah, let's try it.
[23:35.000 --> 23:36.000]  And they did it legally.
[23:36.000 --> 23:40.000]  They actually, you know, amended the Constitution so they had the authority to do that.
[23:40.000 --> 23:43.000]  Very different situation with the war on drugs.
[23:43.000 --> 23:45.000]  It was just and I think they called it.
[23:45.000 --> 23:49.000]  I honestly think they called it the war on drugs because they didn't want to use the term prohibition
[23:49.000 --> 23:54.000]  because it had been such a failure in terms of corruption of government and due process
[23:54.000 --> 23:57.000]  and creating gangs and all the rest of this stuff.
[23:57.000 --> 24:02.000]  And I've said for the longest time and I've interviewed people who are law enforcement against prohibition.
[24:02.000 --> 24:07.000]  They said, this is not something you're going to solve with force, with law enforcement.
[24:07.000 --> 24:10.000]  And I said, this is a spiritual issue.
[24:10.000 --> 24:17.000]  And I tell you, your testimony really underscores the fact that it is the drug war is really a spiritual war.
[24:17.000 --> 24:21.000]  And it's not something that you're going to fix with the police and the military.
[24:21.000 --> 24:24.000]  The answer to that is our society turning to Christ.
[24:24.000 --> 24:26.000]  That's what happened to you.
[24:26.000 --> 24:30.000]  And so that's really what we need to focus on.
[24:30.000 --> 24:35.000]  And we try to take these shortcuts and we look at this and we say, well, we've got this big, powerful military
[24:35.000 --> 24:37.000]  and we've got this big, powerful police force.
[24:37.000 --> 24:39.000]  And so we've got this hammer.
[24:39.000 --> 24:42.000]  Where's the nail that we can use against this, you know?
[24:42.000 --> 24:45.000]  And so that's how we get into these situations.
[24:45.000 --> 24:49.000]  When the reality is, is that that's not the solution at all.
[24:49.000 --> 24:52.000]  All it does is give us other problems that we didn't have before.
[24:52.000 --> 24:54.000]  And it does nothing to fix.
[24:54.000 --> 24:58.000]  Here we are, 54 years into the war on drugs.
[24:58.000 --> 25:01.000]  And it's only gotten worse.
[25:01.000 --> 25:04.000]  We've got more intense forms of these drugs as well.
[25:04.000 --> 25:12.000]  But that's an amazing testimony about the failure of our society and the power of Christ to really fix these things.
[25:12.000 --> 25:14.000]  Yes, that's amazing.
[25:14.000 --> 25:16.000]  Yeah, absolutely.
[25:16.000 --> 25:23.000]  And something along the lines of what you're talking about, to just affirm what you're saying is so true,
[25:23.000 --> 25:31.000]  is that in the 1970s, about the time I was in Teen Challenge, Detroit Teen Challenge,
[25:31.000 --> 25:38.000]  the Teen Challenge was actually brought under scrutiny by the federal government for fraudulent claims.
[25:38.000 --> 25:41.000]  Understand, David.
[25:41.000 --> 25:42.000]  Oh, yeah.
[25:42.000 --> 25:45.000]  This is when the government is running, the CIA is running drugs and all this stuff.
[25:45.000 --> 25:49.000]  They come after Teen Challenge.
[25:49.000 --> 25:51.000]  They go after Teen Challenge.
[25:51.000 --> 26:00.000]  And the average cure rate for a cure is a year after you're out of the program, you're still drug free.
[26:00.000 --> 26:06.000]  For secular programs, the average cure rate is three to four percent.
[26:06.000 --> 26:14.000]  And 96 to 97 percent of men and women who go into those programs are off drugs for six months a year,
[26:14.000 --> 26:20.000]  whatever the length of the program is, within a year are back on drugs.
[26:20.000 --> 26:27.000]  Teen Challenge was claiming to have an 84 percent cure rate based on that same standard, 84 percent.
[26:27.000 --> 26:31.000]  So the federal government decides, oh, this is terrible.
[26:31.000 --> 26:33.000]  This has to be fraud.
[26:33.000 --> 26:39.000]  And they had a commission that took over.
[26:39.000 --> 26:46.000]  And so the commission was to investigate the fraud of Teen Challenge.
[26:46.000 --> 26:50.000]  The woman who headed up the commission was a black woman.
[26:50.000 --> 26:53.000]  I forget what state she was from.
[26:53.000 --> 27:02.000]  And she wrote a book after they were done with their investigation, which went on for about a year.
[27:02.000 --> 27:09.000]  And so the way they investigated was they actually met with these people who supposedly were changed.
[27:09.000 --> 27:15.000]  That was part of their investigation to determine whether they had an 84 percent cure rate.
[27:15.000 --> 27:23.000]  So after it was over, the federal commission determined that Teen Challenge actually was lying.
[27:23.000 --> 27:26.000]  They did not have an 84 percent cure rate.
[27:26.000 --> 27:30.000]  They had an 87 percent.
[27:30.000 --> 27:39.000]  And the woman who headed up the commission wrote a book called The Jesus Factor and her whole book.
[27:39.000 --> 27:48.000]  And she ended up being one to Christ, reviewing all these men who were, you know, lives were ruined by drugs and now knew Jesus.
[27:48.000 --> 27:57.000]  She wrote a book called The Jesus Factor, saying that is why they have an 87 percent cure rate.
[27:57.000 --> 27:58.000]  Wow.
[27:58.000 --> 28:00.000]  What you're saying is exactly true.
[28:00.000 --> 28:06.000]  The importance of us reaching out to people and sharing the gospel with people, pointing them to the Lord,
[28:06.000 --> 28:11.000]  talking to them about the things of God, because his word addresses every area of life.
[28:11.000 --> 28:12.000]  That's right.
[28:12.000 --> 28:15.000]  And so you can bring them into just about any discussion.
[28:15.000 --> 28:20.000]  Well, it really comes back to, yeah, and it really comes, look at all the different problems that we've got.
[28:20.000 --> 28:25.000]  You know, the homes that are split up, which is, you know, the beginning of your problems there.
[28:25.000 --> 28:29.000]  And drugs, we have violence and we have shootings, all the rest of the stuff.
[28:29.000 --> 28:31.000]  What is the answer to all this?
[28:31.000 --> 28:32.000]  Why is this all happening?
[28:32.000 --> 28:33.000]  Because we've had these things before.
[28:33.000 --> 28:37.000]  We've had access probably even more so to guns in the past.
[28:37.000 --> 28:39.000]  We had access to guns in schools.
[28:39.000 --> 28:40.000]  What is the difference?
[28:40.000 --> 28:42.000]  I really think it is the Jesus Factor.
[28:42.000 --> 28:43.000]  That's really the issue.
[28:43.000 --> 28:45.000]  We've turned away from Christ.
[28:45.000 --> 28:49.000]  Our society is rotten at the foundation.
[28:49.000 --> 28:52.000]  And that's why everything is collapsing on us.
[28:52.000 --> 28:53.000]  And that is the solution.
[28:53.000 --> 29:02.000]  You know, you're talking about when you were talking about your relative and you said your mom asked your relative, who's your counselor?
[29:02.000 --> 29:06.000]  And it made me think of the Messiah this time of year, you know.
[29:08.000 --> 29:09.000]  Yep.
[29:09.000 --> 29:10.000]  Wonderful counselor.
[29:12.000 --> 29:13.000]  Amen.
[29:13.000 --> 29:14.000]  Amen.
[29:14.000 --> 29:15.000]  Out of Isaiah.
[29:15.000 --> 29:16.000]  Yep.
[29:16.000 --> 29:17.000]  Same thing.
[29:17.000 --> 29:18.000]  Yep.
[29:18.000 --> 29:23.000]  So, you know, I talk a lot about civil government matters because most churchmen don't.
[29:23.000 --> 29:26.000]  I wrote that book that you had mentioned earlier.
[29:26.000 --> 29:32.000]  And I tell everybody everywhere I speak and where I go, there's two things we need to do.
[29:32.000 --> 29:34.000]  We need to address our government from the word of God.
[29:34.000 --> 29:40.000]  They need to be instructed in God's thinking regarding civil realm matters.
[29:40.000 --> 29:41.000]  Yes.
[29:41.000 --> 29:46.000]  And at the same time, we need to talk about Christ and point men to him.
[29:47.000 --> 29:51.000]  And so I have this little card that I always give out everywhere I go.
[29:51.000 --> 29:54.000]  It says, alone, arrested, in jail.
[29:54.000 --> 29:59.000]  I was living a life of emptiness, misery, robbery, arson, drugs, and hate.
[29:59.000 --> 30:03.000]  There had to be more to life than what I saw with my eyes.
[30:03.000 --> 30:04.000]  But what was it?
[30:04.000 --> 30:05.000]  Yeah.
[30:05.000 --> 30:07.000]  So that's kind of like to draw them in.
[30:07.000 --> 30:09.000]  And on the other side, it says, my name is Matt.
[30:09.000 --> 30:10.000]  This is my story.
[30:11.000 --> 30:18.000]  And they have a little QR code with our website, HowJesusChangedMyLife.com.
[30:18.000 --> 30:27.000]  And I get correspondence, David, from both unbelievers and believers who find the cards when I leave them around.
[30:27.000 --> 30:31.000]  And you never know how God's going to use that in people's life.

[30:50.000 --> 30:57.000]  You know, when you have an amazing testimony like yours, I remember there was a young woman in a church once.

[30:59.000 --> 31:01.000]  She said, I just grew up in church.
[31:01.000 --> 31:02.000]  I don't have anything to say.
[31:02.000 --> 31:14.000]  She said, but then I realized one day that, excuse me, I realized one day that God had saved me from all those things.
[31:14.000 --> 31:16.000]  He had saved me from them before I got into them.
[31:16.000 --> 31:20.000]  That's it, too.
[31:20.000 --> 31:22.000]  Amen.
[31:22.000 --> 31:24.000]  That's been the case.
[31:24.000 --> 31:26.000]  That's been the case in America before.
[31:26.000 --> 31:29.000]  God saved us before we got into those things.
[31:29.000 --> 31:34.000]  But now we're in a situation as a culture where God can save us out of those things.
[31:34.000 --> 31:36.000]  And so that's why your testimony is so important.
[31:36.000 --> 31:38.000]  It really is.

[41:53.000 --> 41:55.000]  And how do they put it together?
[41:55.000 --> 42:00.000]  Well, this particular company is bragging about how superior their method is.
[42:00.000 --> 42:08.000]  They use fMRI, the MRI scanner that you have.
[42:08.000 --> 42:11.000]  They put you in the machine and scan your brain and things like that.
[42:11.000 --> 42:13.000]  I had several of those done.
[42:13.000 --> 42:16.000]  This is functional MRI.
[42:16.000 --> 42:21.000]  And what it does, instead of looking at the structure of the brain
[42:21.000 --> 42:26.000]  and seeing whether there are physical alterations to the brain
[42:26.000 --> 42:28.000]  after a stroke or something like that,
[42:28.000 --> 42:35.000]  it looks at changes in the brain that are happening dynamically over time.
[42:35.000 --> 42:38.000]  And so that's what the functional MRI is about.
[42:38.000 --> 42:43.000]  Rather than looking at the physiology or the structure of the brain,
[42:43.000 --> 42:47.000]  it's actually looking at the dynamic brain activity.
[42:47.000 --> 42:49.000]  And so to train these models,
[42:49.000 --> 42:52.000]  one of the things that this company is bragging about
[42:52.000 --> 42:57.000]  is that they spend about an hour training it,
[42:57.000 --> 43:01.000]  and their competitors might spend 40 hours training it,
[43:01.000 --> 43:03.000]  and they get far superior results.
[43:03.000 --> 43:07.000]  It truly is amazing when you look at how long they spend training it
[43:07.000 --> 43:12.000]  and how much better their recognition is,
[43:12.000 --> 43:16.000]  being able to sense what you are seeing and thinking about
[43:16.000 --> 43:19.000]  and basically reading your mind.
[43:19.000 --> 43:23.000]  And so it is the Brain Interaction Transformer.
[43:23.000 --> 43:24.000]  They call themselves BIT.
[43:24.000 --> 43:27.000]  Now, what they do, what is the training?
[43:27.000 --> 43:35.000]  Well, it turns out that everybody has these localized patch-level image features.

[57:00.000 --> 57:05.000]  Slavery has always existed at every time and in every culture.
[57:05.000 --> 57:13.000]  But it was William Wilberforce who single-handedly started to turn this tide,
[57:13.000 --> 57:17.000]  and he did it because of his Christian principles, and that's the point of this article.
[57:17.000 --> 57:26.000]  To talk about how effective and how necessary it is for Christians to hold to those principles.
[57:26.000 --> 57:30.000]  It's not just about winning. It's not about that at all.
[57:30.000 --> 57:36.000]  The whole reason he did this fight, and understand, take the biggest things that are out there.
[57:36.000 --> 57:44.000]  This is like one guy taking on all of the technocracy, or one guy taking on all of the oil industry,

[58:18.000 --> 58:24.000]  Wilberforce's approach to public policy was unapologetically grounded in Christian morality.

[01:00:30.000 --> 01:00:32.000]  He said it's not enough to simply declare what is right.
[01:00:32.000 --> 01:00:37.000]  We have to also engage in reasoned, evidence-based advocacy.
[01:00:37.000 --> 01:00:42.000]  Whether the issue is religious freedom, the sanctity of life, or justice for the marginalized,
[01:00:42.000 --> 01:00:49.000]  we must be prepared to make our case with clarity and convictions for us today.
[01:00:49.000 --> 01:00:54.000]  He faced fierce opposition from powerful interests tied to the slave trade and to colonial economies,
[01:00:54.000 --> 01:00:59.000]  and at one point he was challenged to a duel by a slave ship captain,
[01:00:59.000 --> 01:01:05.000]  and he received multiple death threats that he pressed on with unwavering determination.
[01:01:05.000 --> 01:01:10.000]  Wilberforce confronts his opponents head on in his book,
[01:01:10.000 --> 01:01:16.000]  arguing that the abolition of the slave trade would ultimately benefit the economy.
[01:01:16.000 --> 01:01:19.000]  He declared that even if economic losses occurred,
[01:01:19.000 --> 01:01:22.000]  the moral imperative to end, quote,
[01:01:22.000 --> 01:01:28.000]  the most enormous crime of slavery outweighed everything else.
[01:01:28.000 --> 01:01:32.000]  You know, we have to understand, and the founders of this country understood,
[01:01:32.000 --> 01:01:37.000]  that prosperity, like liberty, are a blessing from God,
[01:01:37.000 --> 01:01:40.000]  and that should be our first concern.
[01:01:40.000 --> 01:01:45.000]  Our first concern should be to seek God's blessing,
[01:01:45.000 --> 01:01:49.000]  and that means that we follow the principles that he laid out.

[01:04:39.000 --> 01:04:40.000]  Well, what I saw that got me activated,
[01:04:40.000 --> 01:04:45.000]  so I went first to Nigeria with my grandfather, who's an evangelist,
[01:04:45.000 --> 01:04:47.000]  and wanted to, heard stories about Nigeria,
[01:04:47.000 --> 01:04:49.000]  wanted to go help serve on the mission,
[01:04:49.000 --> 01:04:55.000]  and when I got there, people were telling us about these attacks
[01:04:55.000 --> 01:04:59.000]  that had been going on against them in their communities,
[01:04:59.000 --> 01:05:05.000]  and I personally saw the aftermath of some of these attacks when I was there,
[01:05:05.000 --> 01:05:10.000]  and it always just like, it just struck me to my core.
[01:05:10.000 --> 01:05:11.000]  I bet.
[01:05:11.000 --> 01:05:12.000]  I was like, and I kept on asking questions,
[01:05:12.000 --> 01:05:15.000]  I was like, what are people doing about this?
[01:05:15.000 --> 01:05:17.000]  What are other missionaries?
[01:05:17.000 --> 01:05:19.000]  Are there any other organizations doing something about this?
[01:05:19.000 --> 01:05:21.000]  What can be done?
[01:05:21.000 --> 01:05:24.000]  So over the years, I kept on serving with this other mission I was working with,
[01:05:24.000 --> 01:05:28.000]  but then in 2019, I started equipping the persecuted,
[01:05:28.000 --> 01:05:30.000]  because frankly, I'd had enough.
[01:05:30.000 --> 01:05:33.000]  I've talked to pastors and other missionaries and other people there,
[01:05:33.000 --> 01:05:36.000]  and I said, what if we created an organization
[01:05:36.000 --> 01:05:39.000]  that actually wants to stop the persecution?
[01:05:39.000 --> 01:05:43.000]  What if we had an organization that trained village security teams?
[01:05:43.000 --> 01:05:48.000]  What if we had an organization that responds to these attacks within 48 hours?
[01:05:48.000 --> 01:05:50.000]  And they said, we need this yesterday, when can we start?
[01:05:50.000 --> 01:05:53.000]  So that's what started equipping the persecuted,
[01:05:53.000 --> 01:05:55.000]  because I looked around and I saw that very few people
[01:05:55.000 --> 01:05:58.000]  were actually trying to do something about the situation.
[01:05:58.000 --> 01:06:00.000]  A lot of people talking, but no action on the ground.
[01:06:00.000 --> 01:06:03.000]  That's right, because the government doesn't want to stop this.
[01:06:03.000 --> 01:06:08.000]  I mean, the government is kind of a silent partner in all this,
[01:06:08.000 --> 01:06:10.000]  from what I've been able to see.
[01:06:10.000 --> 01:06:11.000]  Is that correct?
[01:06:11.000 --> 01:06:13.000]  Would you say the government there...
[01:06:13.000 --> 01:06:18.000]  Well, in particular, there was President Goodluck Jonathan,
[01:06:18.000 --> 01:06:22.000]  who was Christian, that was trying to use Nigerian resources
[01:06:22.000 --> 01:06:27.000]  to fight Boko Haram and fight the Falani terrorists.
[01:06:27.000 --> 01:06:32.000]  But then what happened was, when Obama came into office,
[01:06:32.000 --> 01:06:38.000]  he then started sending Democrat operatives to Nigeria
[01:06:38.000 --> 01:06:41.000]  to get Muslim presidents elected over Christian presidents.
[01:06:41.000 --> 01:06:44.000]  And when you saw the Muslim presidents take over,
[01:06:44.000 --> 01:06:47.000]  you saw the killing increase exponentially.
[01:06:47.000 --> 01:06:49.000]  Wow, yeah.
[01:06:49.000 --> 01:06:53.000]  I guess it was appropriately named Goodluck Jonathan.
[01:06:53.000 --> 01:06:56.000]  I'm going to stop the Muslims killing Christians.
[01:06:56.000 --> 01:06:59.000]  Goodluck Jonathan.
[01:06:59.000 --> 01:07:01.000]  Well, yes.
[01:07:01.000 --> 01:07:06.000]  So what's been going on is, before, it would be like
[01:07:06.000 --> 01:07:09.000]  you'd have a Christian president, Muslim vice president, Muslim president,
[01:07:09.000 --> 01:07:13.000]  Christian vice president, but in the last three presidential terms,
[01:07:13.000 --> 01:07:16.000]  what you've had is a Muslim-Muslim ticket,
[01:07:16.000 --> 01:07:20.000]  and the government has been laying cover for the terrorists
[01:07:20.000 --> 01:07:24.000]  and turning a blind eye to the killing and pretending it doesn't exist.
[01:07:24.000 --> 01:07:27.000]  Wow. And so that was Obama's influence.
[01:07:27.000 --> 01:07:31.000]  And so you could have a positive influence as well from the U.S.,
[01:07:31.000 --> 01:07:33.000]  but that's not there.
[01:07:33.000 --> 01:07:38.000]  Let's focus more on what you actually do in terms of equipping the persecuted.
[01:07:38.000 --> 01:07:41.000]  I heard you talk about emergency response teams,
[01:07:41.000 --> 01:07:43.000]  talking about village security.
[01:07:43.000 --> 01:07:46.000]  Tell us a little bit about those things.
[01:07:46.000 --> 01:07:49.000]  So currently, the Nigerian government, you have the police,
[01:07:49.000 --> 01:07:51.000]  you have the military, which are all nationalized.
[01:07:51.000 --> 01:07:53.000]  They're all run by the Nigerian government.
[01:07:53.000 --> 01:07:58.000]  But what the Nigerian government did do is recognize village security teams.
[01:07:58.000 --> 01:08:00.000]  They're called vigilante.
[01:08:00.000 --> 01:08:04.000]  Now, vigilante in the U.S. has a negative connotation,
[01:08:04.000 --> 01:08:08.000]  but the word vigilante has a positive connotation in Nigeria.
[01:08:08.000 --> 01:08:11.000]  And so these are people that are from their local villages
[01:08:11.000 --> 01:08:16.000]  that get together to defend their villages or the first line of defense.
[01:08:16.000 --> 01:08:19.000]  But they get no arms, they get no training, they get no funding.
[01:08:19.000 --> 01:08:23.000]  And we've taken it upon our ministry to come alongside them and say,
[01:08:23.000 --> 01:08:25.000]  you know what, we'll give you some training.
[01:08:25.000 --> 01:08:29.000]  How about we give you some radios, some locally sourced bulletproof vests?
[01:08:29.000 --> 01:08:32.000]  Things that you can do to try to help defend your village.
[01:08:32.000 --> 01:08:34.000]  We can't get in the arms business,
[01:08:34.000 --> 01:08:37.000]  but what we can do is come alongside them and give them training
[01:08:37.000 --> 01:08:40.000]  and some basic materials to help save lives.
[01:08:40.000 --> 01:08:41.000]  That's good, yeah.
[01:08:41.000 --> 01:08:43.000]  What we call that here in the U.S. instead of vigilantes,
[01:08:43.000 --> 01:08:44.000]  we would call it a posse.
[01:08:44.000 --> 01:08:48.000]  But of course, they would be armed in order to be able to do something about it.
[01:08:48.000 --> 01:08:51.000]  And that is not allowed there, I understand.
[01:08:51.000 --> 01:08:54.000]  And certainly your organization could not provide that.
[01:08:54.000 --> 01:08:58.000]  What about a quick response team after something like this has happened?
[01:08:58.000 --> 01:09:01.000]  Of course, that's going to be medical care and other things.
[01:09:01.000 --> 01:09:05.000]  Yeah, so what happens is, you know, the Falani come in.
[01:09:05.000 --> 01:09:09.000]  Let's say it's a town of 1,000, 1,500.
[01:09:09.000 --> 01:09:14.000]  They'll come in, start shooting, start funneling people in
[01:09:14.000 --> 01:09:15.000]  and kill as many as they can.
[01:09:15.000 --> 01:09:19.000]  But then you have a lot of survivors
[01:09:19.000 --> 01:09:21.000]  that are no longer allowed to return to their homes
[01:09:21.000 --> 01:09:24.000]  because the Falani have decimated everything.
[01:09:24.000 --> 01:09:27.000]  They've burned the houses down, they chopped down all the crops.
[01:09:27.000 --> 01:09:29.000]  They raise everything.
[01:09:29.000 --> 01:09:30.000]  Wow.
[01:09:30.000 --> 01:09:34.000]  And then all these people are put into these camps.
[01:09:34.000 --> 01:09:36.000]  Well, they don't have any food.
[01:09:36.000 --> 01:09:37.000]  They don't have any clothing.
[01:09:37.000 --> 01:09:38.000]  They don't have any shelter.
[01:09:38.000 --> 01:09:41.000]  And so we try to, within 48 hours,
[01:09:41.000 --> 01:09:44.000]  is deploy food, aid, and medicine within these attacks.
[01:09:44.000 --> 01:09:48.000]  And many times we come across a lot of wounded victims that haven't been treated.
[01:09:48.000 --> 01:09:53.000]  People that have had bullets in their arms and in their bodies for over 48 hours
[01:09:53.000 --> 01:09:55.000]  that need medical care and surgery.
[01:09:55.000 --> 01:09:59.000]  And we come alongside, pay for those medical costs, and try to help the wounded.
[01:09:59.000 --> 01:10:00.000]  Wow.
[01:10:00.000 --> 01:10:01.000]  That's very important.
[01:10:01.000 --> 01:10:04.000]  We get frustrated because nobody's talking about this,
[01:10:04.000 --> 01:10:07.000]  and certainly nobody's doing anything about it.
[01:10:07.000 --> 01:10:10.000]  And it is somewhat difficult.
[01:10:10.000 --> 01:10:12.000]  I'm sure that there's levers that could be pulled
[01:10:12.000 --> 01:10:14.000]  if Trump wanted to do anything about it.
[01:10:14.000 --> 01:10:16.000]  But the U.S. government typically doesn't now.
[01:10:16.000 --> 01:10:18.000]  Obama did.
[01:10:18.000 --> 01:10:22.000]  When you look at these people, they pushed the Muslims in there.
[01:10:22.000 --> 01:10:26.000]  But is there also a Marxist component to this as well?

[01:14:41.000 --> 01:14:45.000]  Before, it would be between 4,000 to 5,000 Christians killed per year.
[01:14:45.000 --> 01:14:47.000]  But this year, since January 1,
[01:14:47.000 --> 01:14:50.000]  there's been over 7,000 Christians that have been killed.
[01:14:50.000 --> 01:14:53.000]  The attacks are ramping up,
[01:14:53.000 --> 01:14:57.000]  and the Nigerian government turning a blind eye to it,
[01:14:57.000 --> 01:14:59.000]  or I would just say they're complicit,
[01:14:59.000 --> 01:15:02.000]  and the mainstream media is laying cover for it as well.
[01:15:02.000 --> 01:15:06.000]  Wow. Yeah, it absolutely is a case of genocide.

[01:15:36.000 --> 01:15:39.000]  doing a deal with the government and putting mines on the land
[01:15:39.000 --> 01:15:42.000]  of the Christian villagers who have been killed

[01:16:09.000 --> 01:16:13.000]  there's between 3.5 million and 5 million Christians
[01:16:13.000 --> 01:16:16.000]  that have been removed from their homes that are living in camps.
[01:16:16.000 --> 01:16:17.000]  Wow.
[01:16:17.000 --> 01:16:21.000]  That are suffering from disease, starvation,
[01:16:21.000 --> 01:16:24.000]  and just awful, awful conditions.
[01:16:24.000 --> 01:16:26.000]  And they haven't been able to return back to their homes
[01:16:26.000 --> 01:16:31.000]  because the Faluni Muslim terrorists have squatted on their land
[01:16:31.000 --> 01:16:33.000]  and if these Christians go back, they get killed.
[01:16:33.000 --> 01:16:35.000]  Wow. That is amazing.
[01:16:35.000 --> 01:16:38.000]  Yeah, the Republicans are not interested in this, of course.
[01:16:38.000 --> 01:16:41.000]  The Democrats were, in terms of equipping the Muslims

[01:16:54.000 --> 01:16:58.000]  but we're fighting a war of narratives.
[01:16:58.000 --> 01:17:01.000]  I think there are people, there are some in the Republican Party
[01:17:01.000 --> 01:17:10.000]  that are capitalizing off of the, well, they don't want to solve the problem.
[01:17:10.000 --> 01:17:12.000]  I think they're capitalizing on the back end.
[01:17:12.000 --> 01:17:15.000]  And we have other Republicans that are coming up and calling
[01:17:15.000 --> 01:17:18.000]  for U.S. intervention on behalf of persecuted Christians in Nigeria.
[01:17:18.000 --> 01:17:21.000]  But there is a battle and a war of words and a war of narratives
[01:17:21.000 --> 01:17:23.000]  we're fighting against.
[01:17:23.000 --> 01:17:26.000]  And there is a genocide against Christians in Nigeria.
[01:17:29.000 --> 01:17:32.000]  We have some Republicans and the Democrats, obviously,
[01:17:32.000 --> 01:17:35.000]  repeating Muslim talking points from Nigeria
[01:17:35.000 --> 01:17:38.000]  that there is no crisis, there is no genocide.
[01:17:38.000 --> 01:17:41.000]  It's bandits or these unknown gunmen.
[01:17:41.000 --> 01:17:44.000]  Everybody refuses to name who's doing the killing.
[01:17:44.000 --> 01:17:46.000]  And it's Muslims killing Christians.
[01:17:46.000 --> 01:17:49.000]  Well, of course, as my producer says,
[01:17:49.000 --> 01:17:52.000]  we're too busy blowing up boats to worry about Christians being genocided.

[01:17:57.000 --> 01:18:02.000]  and we have our areas that we have some financial interest in.

[01:18:04.000 --> 01:18:07.000]  They're looking at getting minerals out of this area.
[01:18:08.000 --> 01:18:11.000]  But my producer also says, what about providing them with 3D printers
[01:18:11.000 --> 01:18:14.000]  where they could make their own weapons?
[01:18:14.000 --> 01:18:16.000]  Of course, they don't have to have electricity.
[01:18:16.000 --> 01:18:18.000]  Do they have electricity in these villages?
[01:18:18.000 --> 01:18:20.000]  No, that's the problem.
[01:18:20.000 --> 01:18:21.000]  That's the problem.
[01:18:21.000 --> 01:18:24.000]  We have solutions, but they don't have the power.
[01:18:24.000 --> 01:18:27.000]  They don't have the power source to be able to do these things.
[01:18:27.000 --> 01:18:30.000]  Power, especially in these areas, they're lucky.
[01:18:30.000 --> 01:18:32.000]  If there is a line run to their communities,
[01:18:32.000 --> 01:18:36.000]  they're lucky it runs 10% of the time.
[01:18:36.000 --> 01:18:38.000]  They're lucky to have power maybe 10% of the time.
[01:18:38.000 --> 01:18:40.000]  The rest is just blackout. It's awful.
[01:18:40.000 --> 01:18:43.000]  Wow. Talk to me as an evangelist.
[01:18:43.000 --> 01:18:46.000]  I mean, what is it like talking to somebody in an area
[01:18:46.000 --> 01:18:50.000]  where there's this kind of a persecution for becoming a Christian?
[01:18:50.000 --> 01:18:52.000]  I mean, that's like a death sentence.
[01:18:52.000 --> 01:18:54.000]  I would imagine that'd be a pretty big obstacle to overcome
[01:18:54.000 --> 01:18:57.000]  when you're talking to somebody about Christ.
[01:18:57.000 --> 01:18:59.000]  Well, actually, it's not as hard as you think,
[01:18:59.000 --> 01:19:03.000]  because when you have people that already live in abject poverty
[01:19:03.000 --> 01:19:07.000]  and then everything getting totally taken away from them,
[01:19:07.000 --> 01:19:11.000]  you come in meeting the needs presented with the gospel,
[01:19:11.000 --> 01:19:13.000]  people are very willing to hear and they accept it,
[01:19:13.000 --> 01:19:18.000]  and the Christians that are murdered for their faith,
[01:19:18.000 --> 01:19:21.000]  that refuse to convert to Islam,
[01:19:21.000 --> 01:19:27.000]  have a real sense of Christianity that I wish most Americans couldn't understand.
[01:19:27.000 --> 01:19:30.000]  Yeah, I agree. I agree.
[01:19:30.000 --> 01:19:32.000]  Where they get up in the morning thanking God,
[01:19:32.000 --> 01:19:35.000]  thank you for allowing me another breath today,
[01:19:35.000 --> 01:19:37.000]  thank you for allowing me to live,
[01:19:37.000 --> 01:19:41.000]  and they get up going, Lord, we're relying on you for sustenance.
[01:19:41.000 --> 01:19:46.000]  They have no choice but to rely on God, but they stay faithful to the end.
[01:19:46.000 --> 01:19:50.000]  And that's what keeps me motivated, keeps me coming back.
[01:19:50.000 --> 01:19:56.000]  And that testimony actually really makes it easy to share the gospel with these people.
[01:19:56.000 --> 01:19:59.000]  And even the ones that are nominal, not fully saved,
[01:19:59.000 --> 01:20:05.000]  we've even seen Muslims come to know Christ because they've seen our kindness,
[01:20:05.000 --> 01:20:08.000]  they've seen how we treat one another.

[01:22:50.000 --> 01:22:52.000]  Do they speak English?
[01:22:52.000 --> 01:22:54.000]  Most of them do.
[01:22:54.000 --> 01:22:56.000]  The educated Nigerians speak English.
[01:22:56.000 --> 01:22:58.000]  You have a lot of people in the rural communities
[01:22:58.000 --> 01:23:01.000]  that only have their tribal language that they know.
[01:23:01.000 --> 01:23:02.000]  They know some English,
[01:23:02.000 --> 01:23:05.000]  but the majority of the country does speak English.
[01:23:05.000 --> 01:23:08.000]  So what about Bibles and things like that?
[01:23:08.000 --> 01:23:09.000]  Most of it is done in English,
[01:23:09.000 --> 01:23:12.000]  or do you have it in the tribal languages as well?
[01:23:12.000 --> 01:23:13.000]  We have it in English,
[01:23:13.000 --> 01:23:16.000]  but then we have Bibles printed in,
[01:23:16.000 --> 01:23:18.000]  I say their dominant tribal language.
[01:23:18.000 --> 01:23:21.000]  So a lot of the area we work in is Hausa,
[01:23:21.000 --> 01:23:23.000]  and so we have Bibles printed in Hausa
[01:23:23.000 --> 01:23:25.000]  that we give to these people.
[01:23:25.000 --> 01:23:27.000]  And then Falani converts,
[01:23:27.000 --> 01:23:30.000]  Falani Muslim converts that converts to Christianity,
[01:23:30.000 --> 01:23:34.000]  we have the Bible printed in their language and given to them.
[01:23:34.000 --> 01:23:38.000]  And so with technology and the way things are,
[01:23:38.000 --> 01:23:39.000]  we're able to get the Bible translated
[01:23:39.000 --> 01:23:41.000]  into several different tribal languages,
[01:23:41.000 --> 01:23:42.000]  and we get them out there.
[01:23:42.000 --> 01:23:44.000]  But if they know English, we give them an English Bible.
[01:23:44.000 --> 01:23:47.000]  If they don't, we give them a Bible in their translation.
[01:23:47.000 --> 01:23:49.000]  Talk to us a little bit about the Falani tribesmen.
[01:23:49.000 --> 01:23:51.000]  Of course, I see that phrase all the time,
[01:23:51.000 --> 01:23:53.000]  but where are these people coming from?
[01:23:53.000 --> 01:23:54.000]  Are they Nigerian,
[01:23:54.000 --> 01:23:56.000]  or are they coming from another area
[01:23:56.000 --> 01:23:58.000]  trying to take over areas of Nigeria?
[01:23:58.000 --> 01:24:01.000]  What's going on with the Falani, another Muslim?
[01:24:01.000 --> 01:24:03.000]  So the Falani are not indigenous to Nigeria.
[01:24:03.000 --> 01:24:07.000]  They're coming from way up North Africa from the Sahel.
[01:24:07.000 --> 01:24:09.000]  So Niger, Chad,
[01:24:10.000 --> 01:24:12.000]  they're nomadic herders,
[01:24:12.000 --> 01:24:17.000]  and they've worked their way South and going into Nigeria,
[01:24:18.000 --> 01:24:20.000]  and wherever these guys end up,
[01:24:20.000 --> 01:24:23.000]  they end up taking territory, killing,
[01:24:23.000 --> 01:24:26.000]  and continuing to gain political power.
[01:24:26.000 --> 01:24:28.000]  They're a conquering tribe,
[01:24:28.000 --> 01:24:29.000]  but they do it through Islam.
[01:24:29.000 --> 01:24:32.000]  I used to call it, they start with cultural jihad,
[01:24:32.000 --> 01:24:34.000]  where they move in, they become neighbors,
[01:24:34.000 --> 01:24:37.000]  they do business, kids go to school together.
[01:24:37.000 --> 01:24:40.000]  Then when they get the population and the political power,
[01:24:40.000 --> 01:24:42.000]  then they start the killing.
[01:24:42.000 --> 01:24:44.000]  And then they keep working their way further South
[01:24:44.000 --> 01:24:46.000]  and doing that.
[01:24:46.000 --> 01:24:48.000]  And so they're not indigenous to Nigeria.

[01:24:50.000 --> 01:24:52.000]  That seems to be an established pattern
[01:24:52.000 --> 01:24:54.000]  for Muslim conquest, isn't it?
[01:24:54.000 --> 01:24:56.000]  Coming in and gradually,
[01:24:56.000 --> 01:24:59.000]  as you start to accumulate your numbers,

[01:25:03.000 --> 01:25:05.000]  and of course we've heard about them for quite some time,

[01:25:08.000 --> 01:25:11.000]  because they don't want girls reading anything
[01:25:11.000 --> 01:25:12.000]  and getting educated.
[01:25:12.000 --> 01:25:14.000]  But give us an idea of where they're coming from
[01:25:14.000 --> 01:25:16.000]  and what they're about.
[01:25:16.000 --> 01:25:18.000]  So Boko Haram are also Falani.
[01:25:18.000 --> 01:25:20.000]  Oh, it's the same thing?
[01:25:20.000 --> 01:25:22.000]  They're Falani.
[01:25:24.000 --> 01:25:25.000]  You know how radical Islam,
[01:25:25.000 --> 01:25:27.000]  they have different groups that sprout up,
[01:25:27.000 --> 01:25:32.000]  so one is not as hardcore as the other one in their Islam,
[01:25:32.000 --> 01:25:34.000]  and they have rival groups.
[01:25:34.000 --> 01:25:36.000]  So you have ISIS of West Africa,
[01:25:36.000 --> 01:25:38.000]  you have Boko Haram,
[01:25:38.000 --> 01:25:40.000]  but they're all Falani.
[01:25:41.000 --> 01:25:45.000]  And they practice a Sunni Wahhabist form of Islam,
[01:25:45.000 --> 01:25:48.000]  which is a very radical Saudi Arabian form of Islam,
[01:25:48.000 --> 01:25:50.000]  and then they kind of battle it out here and there,
[01:25:50.000 --> 01:25:53.000]  but then the Falani that aren't necessarily affiliated
[01:25:53.000 --> 01:25:55.000]  with ISWAP or Boko Haram
[01:25:55.000 --> 01:25:58.000]  still coordinate together to go kill
[01:25:58.000 --> 01:26:00.000]  and take over more territory.
[01:26:01.000 --> 01:26:02.000]  So the Wahhabis...
[01:26:02.000 --> 01:26:05.000]  Sometimes they have their little spats,
[01:26:05.000 --> 01:26:08.000]  you know, one's not as radical as the other,
[01:26:08.000 --> 01:26:10.000]  so we've got to fight each other over here,
[01:26:10.000 --> 01:26:13.000]  but they still systematically conquer as they go.

[01:28:33.000 --> 01:28:37.000]  that we decided we needed to do a cover

[01:44:28.240 --> 01:44:36.480]  remdesivir or paxlovid or monopulvinir that were the sort of you know patented technologies
[01:44:36.480 --> 01:44:42.560]  that were going to give the most money you know to government scientists and so they could not
[01:44:42.560 --> 01:44:47.840]  deviate from that line that we could never talk about ivermectin that bill passed but fortunately
[01:44:47.840 --> 01:44:54.320]  it was overturned by a court decision and the bill the the California legislature withdrew it
[01:44:55.280 --> 01:45:01.680]  but many practitioners do not know that that they have the freedom to be able to deviate from the
[01:45:01.680 --> 01:45:07.840]  standard of care many are afraid you know because of individuals that have been persecuted that have

[01:45:15.200 --> 01:45:20.080]  that have gone through the persecution that have lost their certifications they fight back they win

[01:50:37.200 --> 01:50:43.840]  Lattopo has moved to is to say that now pointing out the fact there's a lot of DNA contamination
[01:50:43.840 --> 01:50:50.560]  in the vaccines and say this is something that should cause you to pull this off the market but
[01:50:50.560 --> 01:50:55.600]  it's not and so at what point do you think this is going to happen or is it going to happen
