[07:30.000 --> 07:37.000]  So this orphan lost pretty big to a Democrat, double digits loss.

[07:45.000 --> 07:48.000]  Somebody ran it where? I don't have any idea what this is.

[07:51.000 --> 07:55.000]  Most recently on the day before the election, Friday, it was on Saturday.

[08:00.000 --> 08:05.000]  He said, I'm not involved in that at all. It's a local Texas race.
[08:05.000 --> 08:08.000]  And the reporter said, but you endorse a Republican.
[08:08.000 --> 08:13.000]  Trump cut him off. He says, you mean I won by 17 points and this person lost?
[08:13.000 --> 08:15.000]  Things like that happen.
[08:15.000 --> 08:18.000]  Problem is, he's the reason.
[08:18.000 --> 08:22.000]  We're seeing his popularity plummet for obvious reasons.
[08:22.000 --> 08:24.000]  And the reporter says, doesn't it worry you?
[08:24.000 --> 08:30.000]  And he says, well, you don't know whether or not it's transferable, but I'm not on the ballot.
[08:30.000 --> 08:33.000]  So you don't know whether or not it's transferable.
[08:33.000 --> 08:38.000]  And this is the expectation games they all play and the denial games they all play.
[08:38.000 --> 08:44.000]  You know, Trump likes to take credit for races that he had absolutely nothing to do with.

[08:55.000 --> 09:06.000]  It was a 31 and a half point swing in terms of the vote margin that this person won by versus what Trump did,

[09:14.000 --> 09:23.000]  Why did you have a Democrat win by 14 and a half points in a strong Republican district in Texas?

[09:25.000 --> 09:33.000]  Since Trump took office, Democrats have flipped eight Republican-held state legislative seats in special elections across five states.

[09:42.000 --> 09:48.000]  You had, for the first time since Reconstruction, a Republican legislature in the state of North Carolina.

[09:51.000 --> 09:54.000]  They didn't like what Obama was doing after two years.
[09:54.000 --> 09:59.000]  And so in 2010, all of the state offices went Republican.

[11:17.000 --> 11:25.000]  radicals are violently attempting to subvert federal immigration law following the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Preti.
[11:25.000 --> 11:29.000]  So she was joined with other commentators there.
[11:29.000 --> 11:35.000]  They said because these individuals, these radicals are using violence to try to change government policy.
[11:35.000 --> 11:38.000]  That is the definition of domestic terrorism.
[11:38.000 --> 11:47.000]  Well, yes, you know, she uses a threat of force or violence or terroristic acts to alter the political landscape.
[11:47.000 --> 11:49.000]  That's terrorism.
[11:49.000 --> 11:54.000]  Seems to me that same definition could apply to ICE and the Trump administration.
[11:54.000 --> 11:55.000]  That's really what they're doing.

[18:44.000 --> 18:49.000]  And of course, what happened with the Kurds, if you remember, in the Bible you have the Persians,
[18:49.000 --> 18:53.000]  you have the Babylonians, and you had the Medes, right?
[18:53.000 --> 18:55.000]  The Medes, Persians, and the Babylonians.
[18:55.000 --> 19:01.000]  Well, they didn't, when they split up the Middle East after World War II, British especially,

[22:51.000 --> 22:59.000]  And so, you might wind up seeing a major catastrophe in terms of the oil industry.

[23:02.000 --> 23:09.000]  Since the Gaza war began October 23, the Iranians have mostly executed restraint
[23:09.000 --> 23:14.000]  in response to attacks that have been launched by both Israel and the United States.
[23:14.000 --> 23:20.000]  They've chosen to telegraph and advance attacks in order to minimize escalation.
[23:20.000 --> 23:23.000]  Before launching retaliatory strikes following previous Israeli attacks,
[23:23.000 --> 23:29.000]  like the assassination of Hamas's political leader in July 2024,
[23:29.000 --> 23:32.000]  Tehran communicated through back channels to the U.S.
[23:32.000 --> 23:36.000]  that it would be launching a barrage of missiles and drones at Israel,
[23:36.000 --> 23:41.000]  thereby avoiding large-scale casualties and escalation in fighting.
[23:41.000 --> 23:45.000]  And so, the people in Iran, some of them were saying,
[23:45.000 --> 23:49.000]  a professor at the University of Tehran told DropSight that in the past
[23:49.000 --> 23:52.000]  a number of high-ranking military officials made the decision
[23:52.000 --> 23:56.000]  to inform the U.S. when they were attacking U.S. bases.
[23:56.000 --> 24:00.000]  That idea was basically trying to ride out the Trump administration
[24:00.000 --> 24:03.000]  and not to confront him in a serious manner,
[24:03.000 --> 24:06.000]  to respond to him but to respond in a very limited way,
[24:06.000 --> 24:09.000]  so they don't start a huge war with the U.S.
[24:09.000 --> 24:13.000]  He said that the new leadership of the military in Iran has determined
[24:13.000 --> 24:17.000]  that his policy failed to deter U.S. and Israeli aggression.
[24:17.000 --> 24:23.000]  So the numbers that I hear is the goal is to kill at least 500 American soldiers.
[24:23.000 --> 24:28.000]  The casualties they need to have if Iran is attacked again is at least 500.
[24:28.000 --> 24:31.000]  I think the Iranian government, the Iranian military,
[24:31.000 --> 24:35.000]  has decided to respond quite harshly this time because you cannot have a country
[24:35.000 --> 24:39.000]  when that country is threatened to be attacked militarily every other week.
[24:39.000 --> 24:42.000]  The revelation that the U.S. has informed the leadership of regional allies
[24:42.000 --> 24:46.000]  that strikes on Iran could begin immediately comes amid ongoing efforts
[24:46.000 --> 24:50.000]  to mediate a last-minute off-ramp to a war.
[24:50.000 --> 24:54.000]  So did that work or is the strike still on?
[24:54.000 --> 24:56.000]  Too soon to tell.
[24:56.000 --> 25:01.000]  But, you know, when we look at this, I think many times about Flight 800,
[25:01.000 --> 25:06.000]  the U.S. flight that was shot down off the Long Island, I believe,
[25:06.000 --> 25:09.000]  as part of a Navy drill, I think it was accidental,
[25:09.000 --> 25:11.000]  but of course the FBI covered that up.
[25:11.000 --> 25:15.000]  They went around and confiscated records from people.
[25:15.000 --> 25:19.000]  A similar thing had already happened a couple of years prior to that.
[25:19.000 --> 25:21.000]  The U.S. was conducting military drills,
[25:21.000 --> 25:25.000]  and they accidentally shot down an Iranian civilian airliner,
[25:25.000 --> 25:27.000]  killed over 200 people.
[25:27.000 --> 25:31.000]  Now, they admitted it, the Iranians had the evidence,
[25:31.000 --> 25:34.000]  unlike in America where if you got the evidence,
[25:34.000 --> 25:38.000]  the FBI comes around and confiscates it from you and threatens you, right?
[25:38.000 --> 25:42.000]  So they had the evidence, and it was pretty clear that was what had happened.
[25:42.000 --> 25:44.000]  And yet they didn't attack.
[25:44.000 --> 25:48.000]  Instead, they accepted monetary compensation for the families,
[25:48.000 --> 25:51.000]  which was actually pretty minor.
[25:51.000 --> 25:54.000]  It is, you know, they have the constant death,
[25:54.000 --> 25:58.000]  the Israel death to America chance that they do all the time.
[25:58.000 --> 26:01.000]  That is largely for domestic consumption,
[26:01.000 --> 26:05.000]  in the sense that these limited strikes where they give advance notice,
[26:05.000 --> 26:08.000]  that is also for domestic consumption.
[26:08.000 --> 26:11.000]  But I think that they realized they don't really want to have a full-on war.
[26:11.000 --> 26:14.000]  However, they pushed against the wall.
[26:14.000 --> 26:18.000]  They have quite a few missiles, as they showed in that 12-day war with Israel.
[26:18.000 --> 26:24.000]  They also have access to the hypersonic missiles of China and Russia as well.
[26:24.000 --> 26:27.000]  So Iranians were sealing their windows and storing food and water
[26:27.000 --> 26:30.000]  as they prepared for an attack.
[26:30.000 --> 26:34.000]  However, we think here in the United States,
[26:34.000 --> 26:37.000]  we don't ever have to prepare for anything.
[26:37.000 --> 26:41.000]  Not for war, we're never going to come to our shores, right?
[26:41.000 --> 26:46.000]  Well, it's very easy for that to happen now with the complicated infrastructure that we've got.
[26:46.000 --> 26:49.000]  Look at how many times our infrastructure has gone down,
[26:49.000 --> 26:52.000]  whether or not that is a cyber attack from somebody
[26:52.000 --> 26:55.000]  or whether that's just the complexity of the infrastructure
[26:55.000 --> 26:58.000]  that keeps getting more and more complex, more and more fragile.
[26:58.000 --> 27:02.000]  It's hard to tell which one it is from where we all sit.
[27:02.000 --> 27:05.000]  But the reality is that it is very complex.
[27:05.000 --> 27:07.000]  It does fail all the time.
[27:07.000 --> 27:12.000]  It's just like software that we have and the technological devices that we have.
[27:12.000 --> 27:17.000]  They're getting worse and worse if you look at the updates,
[27:17.000 --> 27:20.000]  as Cory Doctorow called it, in shitification.
[27:20.000 --> 27:23.000]  And that really is what is happening with technology all the time,

[27:59.000 --> 28:02.000]  replace everyone and put us in a police surveillance state

[28:07.000 --> 28:09.000]  and they know that when people figure that out,
[28:09.000 --> 28:11.000]  they're going to start to come for them.

[30:08.000 --> 30:11.000]  they admit that they've killed over 3,000 people.
[30:11.000 --> 30:14.000]  Others are saying, well, it's more like 6,000.
[30:14.000 --> 30:17.000]  And almost all protesters that are there.
[30:17.000 --> 30:19.000]  So when you see something like that happening,
[30:19.000 --> 30:22.000]  a lot of people are saying, well, it'd be better if we have a war
[30:22.000 --> 30:24.000]  because then we get to overthrow this regime.
[30:24.000 --> 30:28.000]  They don't understand how war is going to affect them.
[30:28.000 --> 30:31.000]  According to government sources, 3,117 people,
[30:31.000 --> 30:34.000]  mostly security forces, were killed in the crackdown
[30:34.000 --> 30:37.000]  because it's only the security forces that count, right?
[30:37.000 --> 30:41.000]  However, human rights groups outside of Iran believe the number is much higher,
[30:41.000 --> 30:44.000]  with some putting it at more than 6,500 people,
[30:44.000 --> 30:47.000]  the majority of them civilians.
[30:47.000 --> 30:50.000]  And so as many people are making their preparations,
[30:50.000 --> 30:53.000]  sealing the window, stocking up food,
[30:53.000 --> 30:56.000]  they said when the bombs drop,
[30:56.000 --> 31:01.000]  there's not going to be any distinction between the regime and the opposition.
[31:01.000 --> 31:04.000]  In other words, they're going to be dropping bombs on everybody.
[31:04.000 --> 31:09.000]  And that's one of the things that I think is a miscalculation
[31:09.000 --> 31:11.000]  in terms of bombing countries,
[31:11.000 --> 31:14.000]  thinking that you're going to change their mind about something.
[31:14.000 --> 31:16.000]  It only galvanizes them.
[31:16.000 --> 31:20.000]  And so when the Americans start raining death
[31:20.000 --> 31:24.000]  and the Israelis start raining death from the skies on these people,
[31:24.000 --> 31:29.000]  it's going to consolidate support for this oppressive Iranian regime.
[31:29.000 --> 31:32.000]  No matter how bad the regime is,
[31:32.000 --> 31:37.000]  people are going to go to it because they see it as a means of stopping this.
[31:37.000 --> 31:40.000]  We've always seen this with civilian bombing campaigns.
[31:40.000 --> 31:43.000]  But of course, we don't make the distinction between civilians
[31:43.000 --> 31:46.000]  and people in the military anymore, not since World War II.

[38:05.000 --> 38:08.000]  He said, it was this caravan of cars and Pete Centile was in the front.
[38:08.000 --> 38:13.000]  And he stopped the car and he got out and he grabbed his camera,
[38:13.000 --> 38:15.000]  knowing there was going to be a confrontation and started filming.
[38:15.000 --> 38:18.000]  But he set up the confrontation, essentially.
[38:18.000 --> 38:20.000]  That's what Roy Potter was saying.
[38:20.000 --> 38:23.000]  And he had gone to the guy who was in charge.
[38:23.000 --> 38:27.000]  Love was his name, the guy who was in charge of BLM in Nevada.
[38:27.000 --> 38:30.000]  And this guy, I used to refer to him as the Ministry of Love
[38:30.000 --> 38:33.000]  because this guy just wanted to have conflict.
[38:33.000 --> 38:36.000]  And he was doing everything he could to escalate the situation.
[38:36.000 --> 38:41.000]  As a matter of fact, his counterpart in Arizona had criticized Love.
[38:41.000 --> 38:44.000]  He said, I went to one of these meetings and it was ridiculous what he was doing.
[38:44.000 --> 38:48.000]  Everything he did was designed to increase the conflict
[38:48.000 --> 38:50.000]  and the likelihood of a conflict.
[38:50.000 --> 38:53.000]  This is what you see happening in Minnesota as well.
[38:54.000 --> 39:02.000]  And so the BLM, his counterpart in Arizona, disagreed with what he was doing
[39:02.000 --> 39:06.000]  and he had a lot of people in BLM that disagreed with what Love was doing.
[39:06.000 --> 39:11.000]  And so as a matter of fact, one of them was responsible
[39:11.000 --> 39:16.000]  for stopping these political persecutions, not prosecutions, persecutions.
[39:16.000 --> 39:24.000]  They had a BLM whistleblower whose information caused a complete reversal of this.
[39:24.000 --> 39:27.000]  The judge was railroading people left and right, sending them to jail.
[39:27.000 --> 39:32.000]  And once this person put out, said this is what really happened as a BLM agent,
[39:32.000 --> 39:37.000]  then the judge shut down the trial of the Bundys with prejudice,
[39:37.000 --> 39:39.000]  meaning they couldn't come back after them again.
[39:39.000 --> 39:44.000]  And so there was a difference within the government.
[39:44.000 --> 39:48.000]  You had some good people who were there and you had some people who were real provocateurs.
[39:48.000 --> 39:52.000]  You had provocateurs on the other side as well, like Pete Santelli.
[39:52.000 --> 39:56.000]  And so there was bad blood with Pete Santelli and Alex Jones.
[39:56.000 --> 40:00.000]  Now they have made common cause, which I think is kind of interesting.
[40:00.000 --> 40:03.000]  Now that Alex has changed, the two of them are buddies.
[40:03.000 --> 40:08.000]  So after this standoff, M.M. Bundy went to the Malheur thing
[40:08.000 --> 40:11.000]  and they wanted to help these ranchers that are being railroaded up there,
[40:11.000 --> 40:13.000]  but the ranchers didn't want help.
[40:13.000 --> 40:16.000]  They would just go to jail. It was one of the craziest things.
[40:16.000 --> 40:21.000]  And it really was a horrific thing they did to that family.
[40:21.000 --> 40:23.000]  And that was the BLM that was up there as well.
[40:23.000 --> 40:26.000]  But I was concerned about that from the very beginning
[40:26.000 --> 40:30.000]  because a couple of days before that started, you had Pete Santelli arrested,
[40:30.000 --> 40:33.000]  I think it was in Ohio, over a weapons charge.
[40:33.000 --> 40:36.000]  And there was a lot of information about that in the news.
[40:36.000 --> 40:41.000]  And there were several aspects of that weapons charge.
[40:41.000 --> 40:44.000]  And the next day they just let him go and drop all the charges.
[40:44.000 --> 40:47.000]  And he goes straight to this protest at the Malheur thing.
[40:47.000 --> 40:51.000]  I thought that was very suspicious. I still think it's very suspicious.
[40:51.000 --> 40:56.000]  And when Travis and Joe Biggs went to cover that initially at Malheur,
[40:56.000 --> 41:00.000]  he did everything he could to keep them away at that point as well.
[41:00.000 --> 41:03.000]  And so it's kind of interesting to see.
[41:03.000 --> 41:07.000]  And I've had difficulty talking to M.M. Bundy because, like I said,
[41:08.000 --> 41:11.000]  these people don't like me.
[41:11.000 --> 41:14.000]  And, oh, don't talk to David Knight. He's a Fed.
[41:14.000 --> 41:16.000]  It's like, I didn't set them up.
[41:16.000 --> 41:20.000]  I didn't record this stuff and let it go like Pete Santelli did.
[41:20.000 --> 41:23.000]  Anyway, not long ago, says The Atlantic,
[41:23.000 --> 41:27.000]  M.M. Bundy was the most famous right-wing militia leader in America.
[41:27.000 --> 41:31.000]  His two armed standoffs had made him the face of the Patriot movement,
[41:31.000 --> 41:34.000]  a loose assemblage of anti-government extremists,
[41:34.000 --> 41:38.000]  second amendment maximalists, and more than a few white nationalists.
[41:38.000 --> 41:41.000]  Even some mainstream elements of the Republican Party
[41:41.000 --> 41:44.000]  embraced him as a modern folk hero.
[41:44.000 --> 41:48.000]  But Bundy's criticism of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown
[41:48.000 --> 41:51.000]  now threatens to make him a pariah within his own community.
[41:51.000 --> 41:56.000]  In November, Bundy self-published a long essay titled The Stranger,
[41:56.000 --> 41:59.000]  in which he labeled the Trump administration's treatment
[41:59.000 --> 42:02.000]  of undocumented immigrants a moral failure.
[42:02.000 --> 42:05.000]  To call such people criminals for lacking official permission
[42:05.000 --> 42:08.000]  to be in the country, he said, is to forget the moral law of God,
[42:08.000 --> 42:10.000]  the historical truth of our founding,
[42:10.000 --> 42:14.000]  and the constitutional ideals that continue to define justice.
[42:14.000 --> 42:20.000]  Bundy told his audience that ICE's conduct clearly looks like tyranny, quote, unquote.
[42:20.000 --> 42:23.000]  If the government threatened his family, he said,
[42:23.000 --> 42:26.000]  he would fight back by whatever means necessary.
[42:26.000 --> 42:29.000]  Now, I am not for open borders,
[42:29.000 --> 42:32.000]  and this has been one of my departures with the Libertarian Party
[42:32.000 --> 42:34.000]  from the very beginning.
[42:34.000 --> 42:36.000]  I always put a footnote on that.
[42:36.000 --> 42:39.000]  They would have 10 questions about civil liberties issues,
[42:39.000 --> 42:41.000]  10 questions about economics,
[42:41.000 --> 42:45.000]  and the one question out of 20 that I had a difference with them on
[42:45.000 --> 42:47.000]  was on immigration.
[42:47.000 --> 42:50.000]  I said, you've got to stop the welfare state first,
[42:50.000 --> 42:52.000]  and then we can talk about having open borders.
[42:52.000 --> 42:56.000]  If you don't have any welfare state, I'm fine with open borders.
[42:56.000 --> 43:01.000]  But the other aspect of it is that if they violated your immigration law,
[43:01.000 --> 43:04.000]  they shouldn't be treated just for that one thing
[43:04.000 --> 43:06.000]  as if they are a murderer and a rapist.
[43:06.000 --> 43:09.000]  And this is why the Trump administration knows that,
[43:09.000 --> 43:14.000]  and they pretend that they're only rounding up people who are rapists and murderers.
[43:14.000 --> 43:17.000]  The question is, why are known rapists and murderers
[43:17.000 --> 43:20.000]  wandering around in America loose?
[43:20.000 --> 43:24.000]  It's because we have a broken justice system that sets them loose.
[43:24.000 --> 43:27.000]  And so the real criminals are being set loose,
[43:27.000 --> 43:31.000]  and they're treating people who basically broke the law,
[43:31.000 --> 43:35.000]  but it's like a misdemeanor, they're treating them as if they were rapists
[43:35.000 --> 43:39.000]  when they let the rapists go and the murderers go.
[43:39.000 --> 43:41.000]  That's what's really happening, folks.
[43:41.000 --> 43:45.000]  And it's a deliberate policy because they want to create conflict,
[43:45.000 --> 43:50.000]  just like Love did in the Bundy Ranch standoff.
[43:50.000 --> 43:55.000]  It's like if you had different police forces for every different type of crime.
[43:55.000 --> 43:57.000]  So you arrest some guy for breaking and entering,
[43:57.000 --> 44:00.000]  oh, there's a warrant for assault.
[44:00.000 --> 44:05.000]  Well, let him go and we'll inform the assault police that we let him go.
[44:05.000 --> 44:09.000]  It is patently absurd, and yet it's presented as though
[44:09.000 --> 44:16.000]  the only way to stop immigration is through this ridiculous authoritarian ICE thing.
[44:16.000 --> 44:19.000]  I saw a great tweet that was, I love how we've set this up
[44:19.000 --> 44:25.000]  whenever on Team Unlimited Immigration, Unlimited Somalis, or Team Police State.
[44:25.000 --> 44:28.000]  That's right. Yeah, I'm on either one of those teams.
[44:28.000 --> 44:30.000]  This person in the Atlantic said,
[44:30.000 --> 44:33.000]  I spoke with Bundy a few hours after the federal immigration agents
[44:33.000 --> 44:35.000]  shot and killed Alex Preddy.
[44:35.000 --> 44:37.000]  He said to me on the phone, he said,
[44:37.000 --> 44:42.000]  it's sickening just to see the parallels of history repeating itself.
[44:42.000 --> 44:46.000]  His November essay, he had compared the administration's treatment of immigrants
[44:46.000 --> 44:49.000]  to the tournament of Japanese Americans during World War II.
[44:49.000 --> 44:52.000]  He said, when it comes to the more humanitarian side of it,
[44:52.000 --> 44:57.000]  I think the left has it much more correct than the nationalist right, he said.
[44:57.000 --> 45:00.000]  Bundy, to be clear, has not gone woke.
[45:00.000 --> 45:02.000]  And this is the other thing to me.
[45:02.000 --> 45:07.000]  You know, it's like how that word has been co-opted and altered
[45:07.000 --> 45:13.000]  and applied as a pejorative to anybody that disagrees with the so-called conservatives.
[45:13.000 --> 45:16.000]  And I call them, you know, they're worse than neocons.
[45:16.000 --> 45:18.000]  They're Trumpcons.
[45:18.000 --> 45:23.000]  He believes that Democrats, who he calls communist anarchists,
[45:23.000 --> 45:25.000]  are spurred by wickedness.
[45:25.000 --> 45:29.000]  So, he says, are Republicans whom he calls nationalists.
[45:29.000 --> 45:34.000]  He believes the government has no business providing virtually any social services.
[45:34.000 --> 45:36.000]  He believes that homosexuality is a sin,
[45:36.000 --> 45:39.000]  and I don't ask him about vaccination requirements.
[45:39.000 --> 45:42.000]  And, of course, I know where he is on that as well.
[45:42.000 --> 45:45.000]  He and I are exactly aligned on all the issues
[45:45.000 --> 45:48.000]  that I know that he's publicly spoken about.
[45:48.000 --> 45:51.000]  And when it comes to vaccination stuff,
[45:51.000 --> 45:53.000]  when it comes to COVID stuff,
[45:53.000 --> 45:57.000]  in Idaho, he was a leader of the resistance there.
[45:57.000 --> 45:59.000]  Because things are pretty bad in Idaho
[45:59.000 --> 46:03.000]  with the Republican governor, Brad Little, acting like a dictator,
[46:03.000 --> 46:07.000]  even dismissing the Republican legislature when they came together,
[46:07.000 --> 46:10.000]  were going to come together for a special session to shut it down.
[46:10.000 --> 46:12.000]  It's because Brad Little, like most of these Republican governors
[46:12.000 --> 46:14.000]  and Democrat governors,
[46:14.000 --> 46:18.000]  were getting massive amounts of money from the Trump administration.
[46:18.000 --> 46:22.000]  They were getting money that was bigger than the state budget,
[46:22.000 --> 46:25.000]  all under their individual control.
[46:25.000 --> 46:30.000]  So, it wasn't just bribery and blackmail, financial bribery, financial blackmail,
[46:30.000 --> 46:36.000]  but it was also Trump giving massive amounts of money to governors,
[46:36.000 --> 46:38.000]  and they knew what they could do with that money.
[46:38.000 --> 46:40.000]  It was like, here's some of my dictatorial power,
[46:40.000 --> 46:42.000]  I'm going to share it with you.
[46:42.000 --> 46:43.000]  And they did it that way.
[46:43.000 --> 46:47.000]  And so, I thought it was very interesting that
[46:47.000 --> 46:52.000]  in response to medical kidnapping in hospitals,
[46:52.000 --> 46:55.000]  both with COVID and otherwise,
[46:55.000 --> 46:59.000]  he organized a group to call people.
[46:59.000 --> 47:02.000]  It was called, I think, the People's Network, something like that.
[47:02.000 --> 47:04.000]  I thought that was a great idea.
[47:04.000 --> 47:06.000]  I covered that, I interviewed him on that,
[47:06.000 --> 47:08.000]  and I thought it was an excellent idea.
[47:08.000 --> 47:09.000]  It was decentralized.
[47:09.000 --> 47:13.000]  I'm going to talk about that next from a left perspective,
[47:13.000 --> 47:15.000]  what is happening in Minnesota.
[47:15.000 --> 47:20.000]  I think that was a very effective idea in terms of implementation,
[47:20.000 --> 47:22.000]  however, it fell very flat.
[47:22.000 --> 47:25.000]  I signed up for it, put my name there publicly,
[47:25.000 --> 47:27.000]  that I would sign up for it,
[47:27.000 --> 47:29.000]  and I could never get any information from anybody
[47:29.000 --> 47:32.000]  other than Ammon about what was happening.
[47:32.000 --> 47:35.000]  I don't know if nobody else signed up for it in Texas or what,
[47:35.000 --> 47:37.000]  but I thought it was a very effective way.
[47:37.000 --> 47:41.000]  Basically, it was going to be a way to alert people
[47:41.000 --> 47:42.000]  as to what was happening.
[47:42.000 --> 47:45.000]  Same thing that you see happening in Minnesota,
[47:45.000 --> 47:48.000]  where they have networks, and they have phone numbers,
[47:48.000 --> 47:50.000]  and they call other people,
[47:50.000 --> 47:52.000]  and they show up en masse to protest something.
[47:52.000 --> 47:55.000]  Somebody's kidnapped at a hospital, for example.
[47:55.000 --> 48:00.000]  And so, because you didn't want to get their vaccines,
[48:00.000 --> 48:02.000]  they're not going to let you take your kid home
[48:02.000 --> 48:03.000]  or something like that.
[48:03.000 --> 48:07.000]  You could show up en masse and get public attention to it.
[48:07.000 --> 48:11.000]  Sometimes you could get the hospital to release them as well.
[48:11.000 --> 48:13.000]  So, it was a very effective thing,
[48:13.000 --> 48:17.000]  but I put my name in it, and nobody ever contacted me,
[48:17.000 --> 48:19.000]  and I could never find anybody to contact.
[48:19.000 --> 48:22.000]  So, I was like, okay, well, I don't know what's going on with it.
[48:22.000 --> 48:24.000]  But that's the right idea.

[50:11.000 --> 50:14.000]  for opposing the administration's anti-immigration agenda.
[50:14.000 --> 50:17.000]  And when I first spoke with him a few years ago,
[50:17.000 --> 50:19.000]  says the writer of this Atlantic piece,
[50:19.000 --> 50:21.000]  he rated those views.
[50:21.000 --> 50:23.000]  If he has become something of an outcast,
[50:23.000 --> 50:27.000]  that testifies less to a transformation in his thinking
[50:27.000 --> 50:31.000]  than to a broader realignment of the far right.
[50:31.000 --> 50:35.000]  Bundy, in his relative ideological fixity,
[50:35.000 --> 50:38.000]  offers a stable reference point against which
[50:38.000 --> 50:41.000]  he can switch to measure the shift of the right
[50:41.000 --> 50:44.000]  due to the influence of Trump.
[50:44.000 --> 50:47.000]  They've been captured, right?
[50:47.000 --> 50:49.000]  They've been captured by these tribes.
[50:49.000 --> 50:52.000]  In 2014, Bundy and his father Cliven,
[50:52.000 --> 50:55.000]  part of that Bundy standoff there,
[50:55.000 --> 50:58.000]  and they were avatars of a conservative belief
[50:58.000 --> 51:00.000]  in the importance of individual liberty
[51:00.000 --> 51:02.000]  and the righteousness of resistance,
[51:02.000 --> 51:05.000]  even armed resistance if necessary,
[51:05.000 --> 51:06.000]  to government tyranny.
[51:06.000 --> 51:09.000]  In a Fox News poll asking thousands of viewers
[51:09.000 --> 51:11.000]  whether they were Team Cliven Bundy
[51:11.000 --> 51:13.000]  or Team Federal Government,
[51:13.000 --> 51:18.000]  97% answered Team Cliven.
[51:18.000 --> 51:21.000]  Several Republican U.S. senators publicly defended the family.
[51:21.000 --> 51:24.000]  Sean Hannity repeatedly had Cliven on his show.
[51:24.000 --> 51:26.000]  As a matter of fact, that's another story.
[51:26.000 --> 51:29.000]  I got there and we started covering it,
[51:29.000 --> 51:34.000]  and then CNN shows up and Fox News shows up,
[51:34.000 --> 51:37.000]  and I go to interview Cliven and he says,
[51:37.000 --> 51:39.000]  well, we can't do an interview here
[51:39.000 --> 51:43.000]  because we agreed to give Sean Hannity an exclusive on it.
[51:43.000 --> 51:47.000]  I said, okay, well, how about if you just let me shoot you
[51:47.000 --> 51:48.000]  with the trees behind you?
[51:48.000 --> 51:50.000]  He won't know where these trees are.
[51:50.000 --> 51:53.000]  He doesn't know that we're doing it at your house.
[51:53.000 --> 51:55.000]  And so he agreed to do that.
[51:55.000 --> 51:59.000]  And that's, again, it's like Pete Centelli.
[51:59.000 --> 52:02.000]  They go and they try to get exclusives with people,
[52:02.000 --> 52:05.000]  and that's the thing that always makes it more difficult
[52:05.000 --> 52:07.000]  to be able to talk to people when you get out there.
[52:07.000 --> 52:08.000]  Two years later,
[52:08.000 --> 52:12.000]  Emin led a six-week occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge
[52:12.000 --> 52:17.000]  that left with the death of Lavoie Finnecom.
[52:17.000 --> 52:19.000]  They characterize it here in the Atlantic
[52:19.000 --> 52:22.000]  as one rancher dead,
[52:22.000 --> 52:26.000]  shot down by police officers after a backwoods car chase.
[52:26.000 --> 52:29.000]  That's not what happened at all.
[52:29.000 --> 52:31.000]  That is not at all what happened.
[52:31.000 --> 52:32.000]  He was ambushed.
[52:32.000 --> 52:35.000]  And as a matter of fact, where were they going in that car
[52:35.000 --> 52:36.000]  when they started?
[52:36.000 --> 52:39.000]  They pulled over and they had snipers shooting into the car,
[52:39.000 --> 52:41.000]  the people that were there,
[52:41.000 --> 52:44.000]  and Lavoie Finnecom got out with his hands up
[52:44.000 --> 52:47.000]  in order to save the other people that were in the car.
[52:47.000 --> 52:49.000]  They shot him in the back.
[52:49.000 --> 52:50.000]  As I saw it,
[52:50.000 --> 52:52.000]  there was another one of these Randy Weaver,
[52:52.000 --> 52:53.000]  Branch Davidian type of things.
[52:53.000 --> 52:56.000]  They were on their way to a community meeting.
[52:56.000 --> 52:58.000]  They were out there explaining to people
[52:58.000 --> 53:01.000]  what the BLM was up to in various states.
[53:01.000 --> 53:03.000]  And there was a sheriff in the county
[53:03.000 --> 53:06.000]  that was going to be leading that meeting.
[53:06.000 --> 53:08.000]  They were not lawless radicals out there
[53:08.000 --> 53:10.000]  fighting the government in every way.
[53:10.000 --> 53:12.000]  They were appealing to the lesser magistrate
[53:12.000 --> 53:15.000]  is what they were really doing when they murdered Lavoie Finnecom.
[53:15.000 --> 53:18.000]  From 2022 to 2023,
[53:18.000 --> 53:20.000]  Ammon was embroiled in a slow motion standoff
[53:20.000 --> 53:23.000]  with local and state law enforcement in Idaho
[53:23.000 --> 53:25.000]  stemming from his refusal
[53:25.000 --> 53:28.000]  to pay a $52 million judgment against him
[53:28.000 --> 53:31.000]  in a high-profile defamation case.
[53:31.000 --> 53:33.000]  And that I don't know anything about
[53:33.000 --> 53:36.000]  because I've lost track with him at that point.
[53:36.000 --> 53:39.000]  I reached out to a number of those who had stood with Bundy
[53:39.000 --> 53:42.000]  at Bunkerville, at Malheur, and afterward,
[53:42.000 --> 53:44.000]  none of them would condemn ICE
[53:44.000 --> 53:47.000]  and some expressed enthusiastic support,
[53:47.000 --> 53:50.000]  says the Atlantic here, this writer.

[54:10.000 --> 54:13.000]  In other words, Ramlow, who once told a sheriff
[54:13.000 --> 54:16.000]  that he, quote, better keep his nose clean, unquote,
[54:16.000 --> 54:19.000]  because Ramlow had a bigger army than he does,
[54:19.000 --> 54:22.000]  didn't want to comment one way or the other
[54:22.000 --> 54:24.000]  until the courts weighed in.
[54:24.000 --> 54:26.000]  Well, of course, we know the federal government
[54:26.000 --> 54:28.000]  is not going to police its own.
[54:28.000 --> 54:30.000]  And so if there's any justice at all,
[54:30.000 --> 54:32.000]  it'll be in a civil lawsuit.
[54:32.000 --> 54:35.000]  But I think that's a pretty pathetic approach to that.
[54:35.000 --> 54:38.000]  Eric Parker, who in 2014,
[54:38.000 --> 54:42.000]  made a name for himself by training a semi-automatic rifle
[54:42.000 --> 54:44.000]  on federal agents at the Bundy Ranch,
[54:44.000 --> 54:48.000]  and who is now the head of the Real 3 Percenters of Idaho,
[54:48.000 --> 54:52.000]  had nothing but praise for the agent who killed good.
[54:52.000 --> 54:54.000]  Isn't that amazing?
[54:54.000 --> 54:56.000]  This is why I said the blindness
[54:56.000 --> 54:58.000]  from the people that were there on January the 6th,
[54:58.000 --> 55:00.000]  and now the blindness from the people
[55:00.000 --> 55:02.000]  that were there at the Bundy Ranch standoff,
[55:02.000 --> 55:04.000]  what has a matter with them?
[55:04.000 --> 55:07.000]  He said, I mostly think it's important to note
[55:07.000 --> 55:11.000]  how impressive it was to get those first two shots off
[55:11.000 --> 55:13.000]  in under a second.
[55:13.000 --> 55:16.000]  So it's great that he was able to get a couple of shots off
[55:16.000 --> 55:20.000]  and very quickly to murder a woman who was driving away
[55:20.000 --> 55:22.000]  and was not a threat to him.
[55:22.000 --> 55:24.000]  And to make her a threat to anybody
[55:24.000 --> 55:26.000]  who was on the road ahead of her,
[55:26.000 --> 55:29.000]  because now you've got a dead person behind the wheel of a car.
[55:29.000 --> 55:32.000]  That is against police procedure,
[55:32.000 --> 55:35.000]  as well as Homeland Security procedure.
[55:35.000 --> 55:37.000]  Lee Rice, a longtime People's Rights member,
[55:37.000 --> 55:39.000]  a steadfast Bundy supporter,
[55:39.000 --> 55:41.000]  who participated in the Oregon standoff,
[55:41.000 --> 55:43.000]  told me when I first met him in 2023,
[55:43.000 --> 55:45.000]  he didn't, quote,
[55:45.000 --> 55:48.000]  believe in the government running roughshod over you, unquote.
[55:48.000 --> 55:51.000]  But when I spoke to him recently about ISIS tactics in Minnesota,
[55:51.000 --> 55:53.000]  he said, quote,
[55:53.000 --> 55:55.000]  I'm supportive of what's going on,
[55:55.000 --> 55:59.000]  because we need to get those clowns out of here, unquote.
[55:59.000 --> 56:01.000]  Which clowns would those be?
[56:01.000 --> 56:03.000]  You mean the Somalis that nobody paid any attention to
[56:03.000 --> 56:05.000]  in the first Trump administration
[56:05.000 --> 56:08.000]  or even in the second Trump administration
[56:08.000 --> 56:11.000]  until you had that report that went viral?
[56:11.000 --> 56:14.000]  And then somehow they discovered that these people were there.
[56:14.000 --> 56:16.000]  And as I said before,
[56:16.000 --> 56:19.000]  this is a problem of fraud and corruption,
[56:19.000 --> 56:22.000]  most likely fraud and corruption of the mayor and the governor there,
[56:22.000 --> 56:24.000]  of the governor of Minnesota.
[56:24.000 --> 56:27.000]  And so you go after Fry and you go after Walls
[56:27.000 --> 56:31.000]  and you go after them with accountants and lawyers.
[56:31.000 --> 56:34.000]  You don't go door to door trying to create conflict.
[56:34.000 --> 56:36.000]  This is what Love did at Bundy Ranch,
[56:36.000 --> 56:38.000]  and this is what Trump is doing.

[56:55.000 --> 56:57.000]  I'd hoped that it was bots that were out there.
[56:57.000 --> 57:01.000]  Unfortunately, it's people who think like bots.
[57:01.000 --> 57:06.000]  On the whole, Bundy's former allies seem to remain solidly in favor
[57:06.000 --> 57:09.000]  of masked, armed federal agents.
[57:09.000 --> 57:12.000]  Just the other day, Bundy told me he had a contentious conversation
[57:12.000 --> 57:15.000]  with a militant who had joined him at Malheur.
[57:15.000 --> 57:17.000]  Bundy had always thought that he and his supporters
[57:17.000 --> 57:20.000]  stood for a coherent set of Christian libertarian principles
[57:20.000 --> 57:23.000]  that had united them against federal power.
[57:23.000 --> 57:27.000]  He said, we agreed that there's certain rights that people have
[57:27.000 --> 57:30.000]  that they're born with, and everybody has them equally,
[57:30.000 --> 57:32.000]  not just in the United States,
[57:32.000 --> 57:37.000]  but on this topic they're willing to completely abandon that principle.
[57:37.000 --> 57:39.000]  And folks, when you do that,
[57:39.000 --> 57:43.000]  you give a free pass to the government
[57:43.000 --> 57:48.000]  to violate every bit of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
[57:48.000 --> 57:51.000]  if somebody is foreign in your country.
[57:51.000 --> 57:53.000]  Guess what? When they get used to doing that,
[57:53.000 --> 57:55.000]  it feels good to law enforcement
[57:55.000 --> 57:57.000]  to not have to be encumbered by the law,
[57:57.000 --> 57:59.000]  by the chains of the Constitution.
[57:59.000 --> 58:02.000]  And they're going to start doing that to you as well.
[58:02.000 --> 58:05.000]  And you know, when we look at the way we conduct war
[58:05.000 --> 58:08.000]  and how we start wars, how we target civilian populations,
[58:08.000 --> 58:10.000]  what is that about?
[58:10.000 --> 58:12.000]  That's about not understanding
[58:12.000 --> 58:15.000]  that we're all created in the image of God.
[58:15.000 --> 58:17.000]  And it's a complete rejection
[58:17.000 --> 58:21.000]  of both Christian and libertarian principles.
[58:21.000 --> 58:24.000]  He said, we agreed there's certain rights that you're born with,
[58:24.000 --> 58:29.000]  but these people are completely willing to abandon that principle,
[58:29.000 --> 58:31.000]  abandon all their principles, quite frankly.
[58:31.000 --> 58:34.000]  He finds this ideological betrayal totally baffling.
[58:34.000 --> 58:36.000]  He would start to say something, and he'd say,
[58:36.000 --> 58:38.000]  I can't understand how much they think,
[58:38.000 --> 58:40.000]  and then he'd just break it off.
[58:40.000 --> 58:43.000]  He says, it just doesn't make sense to me, he finally said.
[58:43.000 --> 58:47.000]  It's scary, actually. I think it is as well.
[58:47.000 --> 58:53.000]  I'm more afraid of a polarized people in a country
[58:53.000 --> 58:55.000]  who want to kill each other,
[58:55.000 --> 58:57.000]  these two tribes that they've created that want to kill each other,
[58:57.000 --> 59:00.000]  and anybody else who gets in the way that's not a part of their tribe.
[59:00.000 --> 59:05.000]  I'm more concerned about that even than an out-of-control government.
[59:05.000 --> 59:08.000]  Like I said before, the drug cartels,
[59:08.000 --> 59:12.000]  which are created by our failed drug war,
[59:12.000 --> 59:15.000]  but they, as dangerous as they are, and they are dangerous,
[59:15.000 --> 59:18.000]  they're not as dangerous as a gang
[59:18.000 --> 59:22.000]  that comes out of the federal government that kills with immunity.
[59:22.000 --> 59:24.000]  They don't have to watch their back to be prosecuted.
[59:24.000 --> 59:26.000]  There's no police coming for them. They are the police.
[59:26.000 --> 59:29.000]  That's the most dangerous situation that you can have.
[59:29.000 --> 59:33.000]  But when you create a population that wants to kill each other,
[59:33.000 --> 59:37.000]  and this is being stoked by everybody from Fox News to Alex Jones.

[59:40.000 --> 59:44.000]  He certainly sees no home for himself on the communist anarchist left,
[59:44.000 --> 59:47.000]  nor does he identify anymore with a nationalist right

[01:28:28.000 --> 01:28:31.000]  You had a lot of people who were angry about what was happening there.
[01:28:31.000 --> 01:28:35.000]  Some of the people that I talked to that were there had been farmers in that area,
[01:28:35.000 --> 01:28:40.000]  and Clive and Bundy and his family were the last people who had a farm in that area.
[01:28:40.000 --> 01:28:43.000]  The rest of them had been run out by the federal government
[01:28:43.000 --> 01:28:46.000]  under absurd pretenses about the desert tortoise and things like that.
[01:28:46.000 --> 01:28:52.000]  And actually, as Clive pointed out, the desert tortoise had thrived with cattle there.
[01:28:52.000 --> 01:28:56.000]  They were able to get moisture from the cattle droppings that were there.
[01:28:56.000 --> 01:29:00.000]  And at the same time, the BLM had taken all these desert tortoises
[01:29:00.000 --> 01:29:07.000]  and tried to make this precious situation out of it,
[01:29:07.000 --> 01:29:11.000]  and they wound up killing hundreds of them through mismanagement.
[01:29:11.000 --> 01:29:14.000]  So he said, they're thriving out here in the desert with our cattle,
[01:29:14.000 --> 01:29:17.000]  but when the BLM takes them, they can't manage to keep them alive.
[01:29:17.000 --> 01:29:22.000]  But I had a lot of people that I talked to who had been neighbors in the past of the Bundys,
[01:29:22.000 --> 01:29:25.000]  and they had been driven out by the federal government,
[01:29:25.000 --> 01:29:27.000]  and they were there with their grievance.
[01:29:27.000 --> 01:29:32.000]  Now, the situation in the Bundy Ranch wasn't just horns and whistles that people had in cameras, of course.
[01:29:32.000 --> 01:29:36.000]  They came with guns, and it was a very touch-and-go situation.
[01:29:36.000 --> 01:29:39.000]  As a matter of fact, there were so many people with guns
[01:29:39.000 --> 01:29:42.000]  that the BLM guys who wanted to fight were outnumbered,
[01:29:42.000 --> 01:29:44.000]  and that's the way you stop it.
[01:29:44.000 --> 01:29:47.000]  They were the ones who wanted to initiate a fight,
[01:29:47.000 --> 01:29:50.000]  and they were on the minority side with that.

[01:29:54.000 --> 01:29:58.000]  was they had an immediate, achievable goal.

[01:30:36.000 --> 01:30:41.000]  how they take ranchers that have this working, successful ecosystem.
[01:30:41.000 --> 01:30:43.000]  They've got to keep these animals alive,
[01:30:43.000 --> 01:30:47.000]  and they want to remove all the animals except for the one animal in this ecosystem,
[01:30:47.000 --> 01:30:50.000]  the desert tortoise, and expect it to do better.
[01:30:50.000 --> 01:30:53.000]  You know, as you said, the plants that they're eating
[01:30:53.000 --> 01:30:56.000]  are getting fertilized by the cows. It's an ecosystem.
[01:30:56.000 --> 01:31:02.000]  And the cow dung was a source of moisture for the desert tortoise.

[01:31:04.000 --> 01:31:08.000]  It was from all the water infrastructure that the farmers had put in there.
