[04:38.000 --> 04:47.000] I mean, Robert Jeffries in Dallas has got a huge mega church, but he's always done whatever needs to be done to get a seat at the table with Trump.
[04:47.000 --> 04:57.000] But I also saw people that I knew going to see Melania and it's like, how in the world could you go to see that if you know anything at all about what's going on with the Epstein files?

[06:11.000 --> 06:15.000] Of that forty million dollars, twenty eight of it went to Melania.
[06:15.000 --> 06:19.000] Don't tell me this isn't some play to play garbage that's happening with the Trumps.

[06:21.000 --> 06:29.000] And when you look at the kind of budgets you typically see, the documentary, even if you take out her twenty eight million dollar cut,

[06:45.000 --> 06:50.000] And of course, the success of it has nothing to do with whether or not it's a good film or not.

[06:55.000 --> 06:57.000] People are not going to go see it because they don't like Trump.

[08:05.000 --> 08:14.000] The arrangement detailed in the Wall Street Journal investigation is fueling renewed accusations that Trump is monetizing the presidency.

[08:22.000 --> 08:30.000] Never have we seen a president who has so nakedly exploited his position on such a scale.

[08:36.000 --> 08:42.000] That number excludes profits from the family's pre-existing businesses, as a matter of fact.
[08:42.000 --> 08:49.000] If people want to investigate Ilhan Omar or AOC, absolutely you should investigate them.

[09:27.000 --> 09:39.000] lieutenants to Abu Dhabi's royal secretly signed a deal with the Trump family to purchase a 49% stake in the fledgling cryptocurrency venture for half a billion dollars.
[09:39.000 --> 09:46.000] The deal involved World Liberty Financial, the president's own crypto venture.
[09:46.000 --> 09:53.000] It was co-founded with his three sons and with Steve and Zach Witkoff.
[09:53.000 --> 10:00.000] So according to the Wall Street Journal, the previously unreported deal was signed by Eric, one of the president's sons.
[10:00.000 --> 10:07.000] Under the agreement, the buyers would pay half upfront, steering $187 million to Trump family entities.
[10:07.000 --> 10:09.000] Now, what did they get for it?
[10:09.000 --> 10:15.000] Well, at least $31 million was slated to flow to entities affiliated with the family of Steve Witkoff.
[10:15.000 --> 10:20.000] Who weeks earlier had been named US envoy to the Middle East.
[10:20.000 --> 10:24.000] Another $31 million, and again, does that ring any bells?
[10:24.000 --> 10:32.000] I mean, here's a guy who's going to be the envoy to these people and they're buying influence with him, giving him $31 million before he takes the office.
[10:32.000 --> 10:39.000] Another $31 million went to an entity tied to co-founders Zach Folkman and Chase Harrow.
[10:40.000 --> 10:43.000] Sheik Tanoon backed the investment.
[10:43.000 --> 10:48.000] The Wall Street Journal describes him as the spy sheik.
[10:48.000 --> 10:50.000] They said that's his nickname.
[10:50.000 --> 10:59.000] Brother to the UAE's president, the government's national security adviser, as well as the leader of the oil rich country's largest wealth fund.
[10:59.000 --> 11:06.000] He oversees more than $1.3 trillion dollar empire funded by his personal fortune and by state money.
[11:06.000 --> 11:12.000] Which again, you know, they just mix those two together, just like China, just like the Trump regime.
[11:12.000 --> 11:19.000] So it spans from fish farms to AI to surveillance, making him one of the most powerful single investors in the world.
[11:19.000 --> 11:22.000] The deal marks something unprecedented in American politics.
[11:22.000 --> 11:28.000] A foreign government official taking a major ownership stake in an incoming president's company.
[11:29.000 --> 11:37.000] And the center of the controversy is not just a business deal, but access to technology that Washington treats as strategically sensitive.
[11:37.000 --> 11:40.000] The previous administration was unwilling to share it with the UAE.
[11:40.000 --> 11:49.000] As a matter of fact, Tanoon's efforts to get AI hardware had been largely stymied over fears that he was going to pass it along to China.
[11:49.000 --> 12:01.000] And his company, the AI firm G42, had stoked alarm among intelligence officials and lawmakers over its close ties to Huawei and other Chinese firms.
[12:01.000 --> 12:11.000] Remember, in Trump's first term, they wanted to roll out 5G and other things and 6G perhaps.
[12:11.000 --> 12:14.000] They wanted to make sure that Huawei was not going to be involved in any of that.
[12:14.000 --> 12:22.000] And they said, well, if they are so paranoid about the Chinese having the ability to surveil us, what do you think that tells you about the US government?
[12:22.000 --> 12:28.000] Don't you think that they also are aware of the technology to surveil people with the networks that they're rolling out?
[12:28.000 --> 12:31.000] Of course they are. They just want to be the ones who are doing the surveillance.
[12:31.000 --> 12:35.000] But Huawei was what they were focused on to stop.
[12:35.000 --> 12:39.000] And so here you have a guy who is one handshake away from Huawei.
[12:39.000 --> 12:43.000] Trump's election opened the door for him, writes the Wall Street Journal.
[12:43.000 --> 12:50.000] After the election, Tanoon met multiple times with Trump, Steve Witkoff, and other US officials.
[12:50.000 --> 12:57.000] During a March White House visit, the Sheik told officials that he was eager to work with US on AI and on other issues.
[12:57.000 --> 13:06.000] G42 celebrated the shift, saying it accelerated projects including Stargate UAE.
[13:06.000 --> 13:08.000] Isn't it interesting?
[13:08.000 --> 13:13.000] This guy, he doesn't just do the same types of things as Trump.
[13:13.000 --> 13:19.000] You know, we're going to merge our corporate and government fortunes together, and I'm going to profit off of this.
[13:19.000 --> 13:21.000] They also both had this Stargate thing.
[13:21.000 --> 13:27.000] Remember, that's the thing that Trump did, I think it was his first day back in the Oval Office.
[13:27.000 --> 13:32.000] Oracle, Cisco, NVIDIA, and the SoftBank Group.
[13:32.000 --> 13:37.000] And Trump was talking about AI plus mRNA technology.
[13:37.000 --> 13:40.000] And so, again, America's got a Stargate project.
[13:40.000 --> 13:43.000] They're talking about a $500 billion AI infrastructure project.
[13:43.000 --> 13:50.000] UAE's going to do the same thing, and we're going to give them the chips, which they'll then turn over to China, most likely.
[13:50.000 --> 14:01.000] What wasn't publicly known was that Tanoon's emissaries had signed the deal to purchase 49% of world liberty that January.

[18:40.000 --> 18:52.000] He said the U.S. Supreme Court limits states in some ways, such as barring them from setting different rules for some issues, including things like term limits.
[18:52.000 --> 18:58.000] But he said the Constitution gives states the powers to determine the time, the place and the manner of elections.
[18:59.000 --> 19:06.000] The Supreme Court, he said, did rule that, for example, Washington state can't set term limits on federal officials if Georgia doesn't.
[19:06.000 --> 19:09.000] It has to be a uniform election law.
[19:09.000 --> 19:15.000] But as far as the time, place and manner of elections, that under the Constitution is a state activity.
[19:15.000 --> 19:18.000] So I'm not for nationalizing it, he said.
[19:18.000 --> 19:20.000] And again, we look at how does Trump want to nationalize it?

[19:22.000 --> 19:27.000] And again, Bannon was all excited about having ICE show up at the polls.

[20:21.000 --> 20:30.000] If you're doing something because of principle, because of the Constitution, because the rule of law or because of ethics or morality or something, it doesn't matter who is in office.

[20:32.000 --> 20:41.000] And if you are going to act differently based on who is in office, that's how we get people like Mike Johnson that are there.
[20:41.000 --> 20:52.000] So again, Trump has frequently and absurdly claimed that he lost Minnesota because the Somalis showed up and voted.
[20:52.000 --> 20:56.000] Folks, not even Ronald Reagan could carry Minnesota.
[20:56.000 --> 21:03.000] He won 49 states, including places like Hawaii and California and New York when he ran.
[21:03.000 --> 21:06.000] But even Ronald Reagan couldn't win Minnesota.

[21:07.000 --> 21:09.000] He only lost it by two or three thousand votes, I think.

[21:54.000 --> 22:00.000] We have had national involvement for ID in terms of stopping it, prohibiting it, saying,
[22:00.000 --> 22:08.000] Well, you can look for a picture ID just like you would have to do if you even cashed a check at the grocery store.

[22:10.000 --> 22:15.000] But if you're one of these southern states, because we've had these Jim Crow laws in the past,
[22:15.000 --> 22:17.000] we're not going to allow you to do that.
[22:17.000 --> 22:20.000] We're going to say somehow that is racist to do it.
[22:20.000 --> 22:21.000] Patently absurd.
[22:21.000 --> 22:27.000] And it is federal involvement in the time, the place, and the manner of the election.
[22:27.000 --> 22:32.000] And the federal government should get out of that and butt out of that.
[22:32.000 --> 22:38.000] But the issue is, and I've talked about this many times, you look at North Carolina, for example,
[22:38.000 --> 22:42.000] in the 2012 election, I was already in Texas.
[22:42.000 --> 22:44.000] My brother-in-law was back in North Carolina.
[22:44.000 --> 22:45.000] He had a friend.
[22:45.000 --> 22:49.000] When you went in to vote, you would just give them a name and address.
[22:49.000 --> 22:50.000] And they had these big computer printouts.
[22:50.000 --> 22:53.000] And they would go through and find your name and your address.
[22:53.000 --> 22:54.000] And that was all that's required.
[22:54.000 --> 22:56.000] You just need to go in with a name and address.
[22:56.000 --> 22:58.000] And they didn't know who you were.
[22:58.000 --> 23:01.000] And they kept saying, well, we're not having any voter fraud because of that.
[23:01.000 --> 23:02.000] And it's like, oh, really?
[23:02.000 --> 23:03.000] You're not?
[23:03.000 --> 23:08.000] And so he had a friend who said, I went to vote, gave him my name and my address.
[23:08.000 --> 23:11.000] They looked it up and said, you've already voted.
[23:11.000 --> 23:13.000] He says, no, I haven't.
[23:13.000 --> 23:14.000] That was on election day.
[23:14.000 --> 23:15.000] He said, no, I haven't.
[23:15.000 --> 23:16.000] I said, yeah, you have.
[23:16.000 --> 23:20.000] And this other person here at your name and address, same last name, same address,
[23:20.000 --> 23:22.000] has already voted as well.
[23:22.000 --> 23:24.000] He says, that's my mother.
[23:24.000 --> 23:26.000] She's been dead for a while.
[23:26.000 --> 23:30.000] And so while all that is happening, the Democrats in North Carolina would say,
[23:30.000 --> 23:32.000] well, there's no cheating going on with this.
[23:32.000 --> 23:34.000] I said, he's got to go public with this story.
[23:34.000 --> 23:37.000] And he said, no, he doesn't want to get involved with it.
[23:37.000 --> 23:41.000] But North Carolina had one of the longest, and still does, I think,
[23:41.000 --> 23:43.000] perhaps the longest voting period.
[23:43.000 --> 23:45.000] It was one of the longest.
[23:45.000 --> 23:50.000] And so you could just go anywhere you wanted and just give them a name and address,
[23:50.000 --> 23:52.000] and you could vote.
[23:52.000 --> 23:53.000] And then mark it down as that's done.
[23:53.000 --> 23:56.000] So, yeah, we do need to have some ID.
[23:56.000 --> 23:59.000] My concern, however, is when the federal government gets involved in it,
[23:59.000 --> 24:02.000] what does the federal government want to do when it's got ID?
[24:02.000 --> 24:10.000] It's always looking for some excuse to have a national ID, a biometric ID.

[24:14.000 --> 24:19.000] where you've got Republican states like in Florida.
[24:19.000 --> 24:24.000] They said, we're going to have mandatory e-verify.
[24:24.000 --> 24:28.000] Well, now we've got to get the federal government to say that I can have a job.
[24:28.000 --> 24:30.000] I've got to be vetted by the federal government.
[24:30.000 --> 24:32.000] How easy is it going to be for them to say, well, we don't like his politics.
[24:32.000 --> 24:34.000] He can't have a job.
[24:34.000 --> 24:37.000] Or we're going to get rid of anonymity on the internet
[24:37.000 --> 24:41.000] because we've got kids who are going to porn sites.
[24:41.000 --> 24:44.000] Well, there's always different ways, different things that we could do
[24:44.000 --> 24:46.000] to solve these different problems.
[24:46.000 --> 24:50.000] But their solution is always a federal national ID,
[24:50.000 --> 24:52.000] a biometric ID, you name it, things like that.
[24:52.000 --> 24:56.000] So I'm suspicious about what the Trump regime,
[24:56.000 --> 25:00.000] which is head over heels in love with surveillance and artificial intelligence,
[25:00.000 --> 25:04.000] I'm very concerned about anything that they would do with the election.
[25:04.000 --> 25:07.000] Just get the federal government out of the local elections.
[25:07.000 --> 25:10.000] They, under the Constitution, don't have the right to say anything
[25:10.000 --> 25:13.000] about the manner of the place or the time of the elections.
[25:13.000 --> 25:17.000] So let the states have photo ID in order to vote,
[25:17.000 --> 25:20.000] and they can handle it themselves.
[25:20.000 --> 25:25.000] Rand said the Republicans should say, we want to take over.
[25:25.000 --> 25:27.000] I'm sorry, this is Trump saying it.
[25:27.000 --> 25:29.000] The Republicans should say we want to take over.
[25:29.000 --> 25:34.000] We should take over the voting in at least as many as 15 places.
[25:34.000 --> 25:37.000] Republicans ought to nationalize the voting, said Trump.
[25:37.000 --> 25:41.000] Well, those statements received pushback from a lot of high-profile Republicans,
[25:42.000 --> 25:46.000] also the Senate Majority Leader John Thune pushed back.
[25:46.000 --> 25:51.000] He told reporters that voters should be required to show ID to prove their citizens,
[25:51.000 --> 25:57.000] but he does not support the federal government seizing the power to run elections.
[25:57.000 --> 26:01.000] He says, I'm supportive of only citizens voting and showing ID at polling places,
[26:01.000 --> 26:04.000] but I'm not in favor of federalizing elections.
[26:04.000 --> 26:08.000] So no, that's a constitutional issue.

[29:18.000 --> 29:22.000] are wiped out by the tax increases that he's had with tariffs.
[29:22.000 --> 29:26.000] As I pointed out, if you adjust it for inflation, even adjusted for inflation,
[29:26.000 --> 29:32.000] I know we're talking about dollars that are not, you know, the same as they were in 1933.
[29:32.000 --> 29:37.000] But even when you adjust it for the devaluation of the dollar,
[29:37.000 --> 29:42.000] it's three times as much as what FDR added in terms of taxes.
[29:42.000 --> 29:46.000] But he likes to present himself as a tax cutter,
[29:46.000 --> 29:53.000] just like he attacks country after country and tries to present himself as the peace president.
[29:53.000 --> 29:58.000] So according to Trump, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey endorsed a very serious violation of law last week
[29:58.000 --> 30:04.000] when Frey said Minneapolis does not and will not enforce federal immigration law.
[30:04.000 --> 30:09.000] But it is Trump whose understanding of the law is seriously impaired, says Reason,
[30:10.000 --> 30:18.000] because of the noncommandeering act, not act, but the principle that has been established.
[30:18.000 --> 30:22.000] You know, it's really the nullification principle that has been there all along.
[30:22.000 --> 30:26.000] There was a Supreme Court case, remember, the one that we talked to.
[30:26.000 --> 30:29.000] Sheriff Mack was involved in it based on the Brady bill.
[30:29.000 --> 30:34.000] And that established with the Supreme Court back in 1997,
[30:34.000 --> 30:41.000] the noncommandeering principle that you cannot force local and state law enforcement,
[30:41.000 --> 30:49.000] not just law enforcement, but you can't force them to enforce federal law in any way, shape or form.
[30:49.000 --> 30:58.000] And so guess who wrote that decision? The conservative legal hero Antonin Scalia.

[31:04.000 --> 31:09.000] Every time I think about Scalia, I think about the pillow over the head thing at the Cibolo Creek Ranch.

[31:12.000 --> 31:20.000] That was one thing that I have seen that I cannot unsee what was going on at that ranch, how strange everything.

[31:22.000 --> 31:30.000] It's just the really, really bizarre aspect of that ranch was unbelievable and very occultic.
[31:30.000 --> 31:34.000] Anyway, the continuing silence from the Supreme Court on these terrorists
[31:34.000 --> 31:37.000] has led to worrying speculation among some of the president's critics
[31:37.000 --> 31:41.000] that the longer it takes for the court's terrorist decision to come out, the better it is for the White House.
[31:41.000 --> 31:44.000] And I said this from the very beginning when Trump was saying,
[31:44.000 --> 31:48.000] well, it's going to be a real mess if you try to undo what we've done.
[31:48.000 --> 31:50.000] So you just better leave it alone, right?
[31:50.000 --> 31:53.000] That's not an argument. That's not a legal argument.
[31:53.000 --> 31:56.000] He doesn't have a real emergency.
[31:56.000 --> 32:02.000] And even if he had a real emergency, the way that he's done this is still not called for in the law.
[32:02.000 --> 32:07.000] This is just a repudiation, a prevarication, a usurpation.
[32:07.000 --> 32:15.000] And so now he's trying to say that you need to leave this in because it's going to be too difficult to undo it.
[32:15.000 --> 32:20.000] And as they point out in this thing, what should have happened since this is being discussed,
[32:20.000 --> 32:25.000] they should have said, well, we're going to put a moratorium on the collection of tariffs.
[32:25.000 --> 32:29.000] But instead, they allowed the government to continue to collect the tariffs.
[32:29.000 --> 32:35.000] And when you look at the questioning, it was pretty clear that justices understood that this is a tax,
[32:35.000 --> 32:37.000] that tariffs are always taxes.
[32:37.000 --> 32:42.000] And yet the fact that they couldn't come to an immediate decision is very troubling
[32:42.000 --> 32:47.000] because it says that, I think, in my opinion, some pressure is being put on.
[32:47.000 --> 32:56.000] If you remember, Roberts, everybody believed that the Obamacare stuff was going to be shut down by the Supreme Court.
[32:56.000 --> 33:02.000] And the argument that they wanted to put forward was not that this was some new usurped federal power,
[33:02.000 --> 33:06.000] but that this was, in fact, a tax or something.
[33:07.000 --> 33:14.000] So he bought into that argument, and then he wrote the opinion to shut down Obamacare,
[33:14.000 --> 33:19.000] and then he wrote the opinion to allow it.
[33:19.000 --> 33:21.000] So he did a complete 180.
[33:21.000 --> 33:27.000] The same guy wrote both the dissenting opinion and the concurring opinion in the case,
[33:27.000 --> 33:30.000] which tells me that somebody got to him at the very last minute.
[33:30.000 --> 33:34.000] Anyway, Trump claims that his tariffs have brought America back.
[33:34.000 --> 33:37.000] Here are three things that he got wrong.
[33:37.000 --> 33:39.000] This is from reason as well.
[33:39.000 --> 33:41.000] Number one, the trade deficit.
[33:41.000 --> 33:45.000] I guess we could call this three blind lies, three blind lies.
[33:45.000 --> 33:48.000] So the number one lie is the trade deficit.
[33:48.000 --> 33:53.000] He claims that it has slashed our monthly trade deficit by 77 percent.
[33:53.000 --> 33:57.000] But the Census Bureau reported last week that the trade deficit actually increased,
[33:57.000 --> 34:01.000] not decreased, by nearly 37 percent in November.
[34:01.000 --> 34:08.000] Through the first 11 months of 2025, the trade deficit was four percent higher than it had been in 2024,
[34:08.000 --> 34:11.000] the opposite of what Trump is claiming.
[34:11.000 --> 34:21.000] But of course, part of this is because the tariffs actually did not get started when Trump announced them.
[34:21.000 --> 34:23.000] There was a delay in them.
[34:23.000 --> 34:28.000] And then even as there was a delay, he kept adjusting the rates down and that type of thing.
[34:28.000 --> 34:33.000] So as they point out, the other lie is who pays the tariffs, line number two.
[34:33.000 --> 34:38.000] Trump wrote in his op-ed piece on the Wall Street Journal that foreign producers
[34:38.000 --> 34:42.000] and middlemen are paying at least 80 percent of the tariff costs.
[34:42.000 --> 34:45.000] In fact, the paper that he cited concludes that, quote,
[34:45.000 --> 34:51.000] tariffs led to both rapid and gradual retail price increases.
[34:51.000 --> 34:56.000] The study that whoever wrote this for Trump,
[34:56.000 --> 35:00.000] the study that they referenced by the Harvard Business School,
[35:00.000 --> 35:04.000] found that the, quote, prices began rising within days of the March announcements
[35:04.000 --> 35:08.000] and continued to increase steadily over subsequent months.
[35:08.000 --> 35:16.000] They also said imported goods rose roughly twice as much as domestic goods relative to pre-tariff trends.
[35:16.000 --> 35:17.000] Do you get that?
[35:17.000 --> 35:22.000] So we've had inflation of domestically produced things.
[35:22.000 --> 35:29.000] And we've had, even with that inflation, we've had imported goods go up by twice that amount.
[35:29.000 --> 35:32.000] And as we talked about this before, when people say, well, look,
[35:32.000 --> 35:36.000] we haven't seen a huge difference in this kind of stuff yet.
[35:36.000 --> 35:41.000] In the past, when tariffs have been applied, they have been slow to be passed on
[35:41.000 --> 35:46.000] because the first instinct of the businesses is going to be to try to not raise prices.
[35:46.000 --> 35:50.000] That's the competitive advantage, of course, try to compete on price.
[35:50.000 --> 35:54.000] But then after a while, what they realize is that they can't compete on price.
[35:54.000 --> 35:55.000] They can't swallow.
[35:55.000 --> 36:00.000] If they get hit with a tariff that's 10% or 20% or something, they have to pass that on eventually
[36:00.000 --> 36:03.000] because they don't operate, most businesses don't operate on a profit margin
[36:03.000 --> 36:06.000] that's going to allow them to absorb those types of costs.
[36:06.000 --> 36:09.000] They have to be passed on to the consumer.
[36:09.000 --> 36:14.000] That's why the minimum wage increases that are mandated by Democrats are inflationary.
[36:14.000 --> 36:15.000] They have to be passed on in prices.
[36:15.000 --> 36:17.000] And that's why corporate income tax.
[36:17.000 --> 36:23.000] We've always understood, I thought as conservatives, that you don't tax corporations.
[36:23.000 --> 36:26.000] When you tax corporations, they pass that on.
[36:26.000 --> 36:28.000] It always works that way.
[36:28.000 --> 36:34.000] And so prices for imported goods are up 9.7% from their pre-tariff trends,
[36:34.000 --> 36:37.000] while domestic prices are up 4.5%.
[36:37.000 --> 36:44.000] Those increases have added an estimated 1% point to inflation as measured by the consumer price index.
[36:44.000 --> 36:46.000] And it always lags.
[36:46.000 --> 36:47.000] It's going to get worse.
[36:47.000 --> 36:51.000] So the next time Trump is complaining that the Federal Reserve won't lower interest rates,
[36:51.000 --> 36:55.000] remember that the main reason the central bank is keeping interest rates higher
[36:55.000 --> 36:58.000] is that inflation is still over 2%.
[36:58.000 --> 37:02.000] But it would be significantly lower if not for Trump's tariffs.
[37:02.000 --> 37:05.000] And then the third lie, economic collapse.
[37:05.000 --> 37:06.000] He said in his op-ed piece,
[37:06.000 --> 37:10.000] When I imposed historic tariffs on nearly all foreign countries last April,
[37:10.000 --> 37:15.000] the critics said my policies would cause a global economic meltdown.
[37:15.000 --> 37:17.000] He said that meltdown didn't occur.
[37:17.000 --> 37:21.000] So that must prove that the president was right and his opponents wrong?
[37:21.000 --> 37:26.000] Well, this is not a gotcha moment that the president seems to believe it is.
[37:26.000 --> 37:32.000] Reason says Trump repeatedly backed down and eased tariff threats in the face of negative shocks
[37:32.000 --> 37:36.000] from both the stock market and the bond market.
[37:36.000 --> 37:41.000] The Liberation Day tariffs announced on April the 2nd were postponed a week later
[37:41.000 --> 37:46.000] after a huge stock market sell-off, and those were later imposed at a lower rate.
[37:46.000 --> 37:52.000] A threatened 130% tariff on Chinese goods never materialized.
[37:52.000 --> 37:58.000] No wonder Taco, Trump always chickens out, entered the political and financial lexicon last year.
[37:58.000 --> 38:04.000] Yale Budget Labs data shows that Trump raised the average US tariff rate
[38:04.000 --> 38:08.000] from less than 3% to more than 25%.
[38:08.000 --> 38:14.000] But those rates declined in the second half of the year and settled at around 17%.
[38:14.000 --> 38:17.000] That's still very high, but not as high as it could have been.
[38:17.000 --> 38:23.000] So it makes sense that the consequences were less severe and delayed, of course, as well.
[38:23.000 --> 38:33.000] So if the bar for success is I didn't crash the global economy, then congratulations, I guess, he says.
[38:33.000 --> 38:38.000] There's not really, it's not something to brag about, and it certainly doesn't excuse Trump
[38:38.000 --> 38:42.000] from the economic damage that his lower, less extreme tariffs have done.
[38:42.000 --> 38:47.000] And again, the levels of the tariffs are not nearly as damaging, no matter what they are,
[38:47.000 --> 38:53.000] as is on again, off again, constantly changing chaotic environment that keeps people who are in business
[38:53.000 --> 38:57.000] from being able to know what the costs are going to be from one day to the next.
[38:57.000 --> 39:00.000] Tariffs are effectively a wealth transfer mechanism.
[39:00.000 --> 39:08.000] It takes money from consumers and businesses, and it gives it to preferred businesses, right, to help protect them.
[39:08.000 --> 39:12.000] No wonder he loves tariffs, because that really is kind of his business model, right?
[39:12.000 --> 39:16.000] I'm going to reward my friends. Chronic capitalism.
[39:16.000 --> 39:20.000] And of course, punish his enemies that he hates.
[39:20.000 --> 39:25.000] So yeah, in Trump's case, the sectors of the economy that are supposed to be benefiting from the tariffs,
[39:26.000 --> 39:31.000] manufacturing and other forms of industrial production are not even realizing those benefits
[39:31.000 --> 39:35.000] because higher prices on raw materials make it more difficult to manufacture things.
[39:35.000 --> 39:40.000] For example, American businesses are now paying much higher prices for aluminum
[39:40.000 --> 39:43.000] than manufacturers elsewhere in the world.
[39:43.000 --> 39:48.000] That's a good way to discourage manufacturing in America not to promote it.
[39:48.000 --> 39:53.000] Trump is clearly unwilling and unable to understand these tradeoffs.
[39:53.000 --> 39:56.000] It's hopeless to believe that he'll ever change his mind.
[39:56.000 --> 39:59.000] It's really up to others to stop him.
[39:59.000 --> 40:04.000] It's not going to be anybody in his immediate circle that's going to stop him for anything, is it?

[42:02.000 --> 42:06.000] And what did he say that was so offensive? That's the amazing thing about this.

[43:47.000 --> 43:50.000] Leon seemed particularly perturbed about Kelly's situation,
[43:50.000 --> 43:54.000] specifically that under the Trump regime's new proposed rule,
[43:54.000 --> 43:59.000] retired members of the military serving in Congress could be punished for criticizing the Pentagon.
[43:59.000 --> 44:02.000] In what world does that make any sense?
[44:02.000 --> 44:05.000] If you are not in uniform anymore,
[44:05.000 --> 44:10.000] how does that mean that you can't exercise your free speech rights to criticize the president?
[44:10.000 --> 44:17.000] I mean, we saw the contempt for the Constitution the Biden administration had coming after J6 people
[44:17.000 --> 44:23.000] because you have a specifically enumerated right in the First Amendment
[44:23.000 --> 44:26.000] to redress your grievances against the government.

[48:41.000 --> 48:46.000] that's a construct of his quote to Madison in a letter.

[48:57.000 --> 49:02.000] And in essence, what you're talking about is something that is basically usufruct.

[52:30.000 --> 52:34.000] and they've already set everything up to take everything away from you.

[52:38.000 --> 52:43.000] to warn people about things like the lockdown and the so-called pandemic

[01:12:22.000 --> 01:12:24.000] of stuff in the stratosphere and blocking

[01:12:26.000 --> 01:12:28.000] is that? It's almost like these people are trying to
[01:12:28.000 --> 01:12:30.000] terraform the planet so that we can't
[01:12:30.000 --> 01:12:32.000] grow food, isn't it? Trying to shut
[01:12:32.000 --> 01:12:34.000] off sunlight, trying to kill CO2
[01:12:34.000 --> 01:12:36.000] that plants need. Everything
[01:12:36.000 --> 01:12:38.000] that they're doing mitigates against
[01:12:38.000 --> 01:12:40.000] that. But of course, when they do the geo
[01:12:40.000 --> 01:12:42.000] engineering, then they can claim
[01:12:42.000 --> 01:12:44.000] that it was man-made, which it
[01:12:44.000 --> 01:12:46.000] was, not made by us, but they use that
[01:12:46.000 --> 01:12:48.000] as a pretense to
[01:12:48.000 --> 01:12:50.000] ban the things
[01:12:50.000 --> 01:12:52.000] that we have. And another thing
[01:12:52.000 --> 01:12:54.000] to sort of tie in with what we were talking about
[01:12:54.000 --> 01:12:56.000] with Biden and the really salacious stuff,
[01:12:56.000 --> 01:12:58.000] when you're talking about weather manipulation,
[01:12:58.000 --> 01:13:00.000] you should focus on the
[01:13:00.000 --> 01:13:02.000] conferences, the points where they talk
[01:13:02.000 --> 01:13:04.000] about what they are capable of, rather than
[01:13:04.000 --> 01:13:06.000] looking at a specific freak
[01:13:06.000 --> 01:13:08.000] weather event, because there have been freak weather
[01:13:08.000 --> 01:13:10.000] events for long before there was
[01:13:10.000 --> 01:13:12.000] weather manipulation. That's
[01:13:12.000 --> 01:13:14.000] right. Yeah, and I mention it frequently
[01:13:14.000 --> 01:13:16.000] that AMA conference that I went to in Austin
[01:13:16.000 --> 01:13:18.000] where everybody's struggling
[01:13:18.000 --> 01:13:20.000] to predict the weather, and
[01:13:20.000 --> 01:13:22.000] all of them are talking about, well, this is
[01:13:22.000 --> 01:13:24.000] we looked at these factors and measured these things
[01:13:24.000 --> 01:13:26.000] and then gave these kind
[01:13:26.000 --> 01:13:28.000] of weights to these different things, and it didn't
[01:13:28.000 --> 01:13:30.000] quite work out. And so in that
[01:13:30.000 --> 01:13:32.000] environment, you had this Soros
[01:13:32.000 --> 01:13:34.000] funded group that was trying to
[01:13:34.000 --> 01:13:36.000] tell the weathermen, you know,
[01:13:36.000 --> 01:13:38.000] you can really get people, you have the
[01:13:38.000 --> 01:13:40.000] influence to tell people that
[01:13:40.000 --> 01:13:42.000] climate change is real. Most of
[01:13:42.000 --> 01:13:44.000] you don't believe that climate change is real, but
[01:13:44.000 --> 01:13:46.000] you need to reconsider this because it is real.
[01:13:46.000 --> 01:13:48.000] And man-made climate
[01:13:48.000 --> 01:13:50.000] change, you need to start talking about global warming.
[01:13:50.000 --> 01:13:52.000] And I thought it was kind of
[01:13:52.000 --> 01:13:54.000] interesting because they admitted
[01:13:54.000 --> 01:13:56.000] that the vast majority of meteorologists
[01:13:56.000 --> 01:13:58.000] didn't believe in the climate change stuff
[01:13:58.000 --> 01:14:00.000] because they know how variable
[01:14:00.000 --> 01:14:02.000] the weather is. And so
[01:14:02.000 --> 01:14:04.000] they were trying to convince them, and they
[01:14:04.000 --> 01:14:06.000] did convince some of them, unfortunately.

[01:14:36.000 --> 01:14:38.000] And his personal story is very impressive.

[01:14:44.000 --> 01:14:46.000] first thing they do is, you know, he's got one
[01:14:46.000 --> 01:14:48.000] tab here that's about him, his personal
[01:14:48.000 --> 01:14:50.000] story and what he's doing and how he
[01:14:50.000 --> 01:14:52.000] got there. And then he's got another
[01:14:52.000 --> 01:14:54.000] tab that's got some policies that he thinks
[01:14:54.000 --> 01:14:56.000] are important. And I kind
[01:14:56.000 --> 01:14:58.000] of say, you know, when we had the situation
[01:14:58.000 --> 01:15:00.000] where they had a tremendous
[01:15:00.000 --> 01:15:02.000] amount of out of state money
[01:15:02.000 --> 01:15:04.000] that came in to support this
[01:15:04.000 --> 01:15:06.000] guy who's running against
[01:15:06.000 --> 01:15:08.000] Frank Nicely
[01:15:08.000 --> 01:15:10.000] because Frank Nicely had worked very
[01:15:10.000 --> 01:15:12.000] hard to try to stop out of state money from coming
[01:15:12.000 --> 01:15:14.000] into Tennessee. So because that
[01:15:14.000 --> 01:15:16.000] lost in the legislature,
[01:15:16.000 --> 01:15:18.000] he got hammered by that in the next
[01:15:18.000 --> 01:15:20.000] election. And the guy that they put
[01:15:20.000 --> 01:15:22.000] up, I have never, ever seen
[01:15:22.000 --> 01:15:24.000] anybody running for political office that
[01:15:24.000 --> 01:15:26.000] doesn't tell you anything about their
[01:15:26.000 --> 01:15:28.000] background. I thought that was the most suspicious
[01:15:28.000 --> 01:15:30.000] thing I'd ever seen in my life
[01:15:30.000 --> 01:15:32.000] because he didn't tell you
[01:15:32.000 --> 01:15:34.000] what he did for a living
[01:15:34.000 --> 01:15:36.000] now or ever.
[01:15:36.000 --> 01:15:38.000] And so the guy was a completely
[01:15:38.000 --> 01:15:40.000] you know, you knew less
[01:15:40.000 --> 01:15:42.000] about him than you know about ICE agents.
[01:15:42.000 --> 01:15:44.000] And so when you look
[01:15:44.000 --> 01:15:46.000] at Rick's story,
[01:15:46.000 --> 01:15:48.000] it is a very impressive one.
[01:15:48.000 --> 01:15:50.000] He said he grew up in foster care,
[01:15:50.000 --> 01:15:52.000] five different foster homes,
[01:15:52.000 --> 01:15:54.000] 13 schools. He lived in the
[01:15:54.000 --> 01:15:56.000] projects in Atlanta and never knew his father,
[01:15:56.000 --> 01:15:58.000] raised by a mother who was struggling with
[01:15:58.000 --> 01:16:00.000] alcoholism. And this guy
[01:16:00.000 --> 01:16:02.000] became very, very wealthy. He's got
[01:16:02.000 --> 01:16:04.000] companies that generate over three
[01:16:04.000 --> 01:16:06.000] billion dollars in revenue.
[01:16:06.000 --> 01:16:08.000] And so he is
[01:16:08.000 --> 01:16:10.000] he said he worked his way out of this. When he
[01:16:10.000 --> 01:16:12.000] couldn't afford to stay in college, he took a straight
[01:16:12.000 --> 01:16:14.000] commission sales job, later
[01:16:14.000 --> 01:16:16.000] bought the company that he worked for. So
[01:16:16.000 --> 01:16:18.000] again, hats off to him. That is an
[01:16:18.000 --> 01:16:20.000] amazing success story. When I
[01:16:20.000 --> 01:16:22.000] look at what he's chosen to
[01:16:22.000 --> 01:16:24.000] talk about that he did, he talks
[01:16:24.000 --> 01:16:26.000] about helping Brian Kemp in
[01:16:26.000 --> 01:16:28.000] Georgia with the COVID
[01:16:28.000 --> 01:16:30.000] situation. And evidently
[01:16:30.000 --> 01:16:32.000] his businesses have something to do with
[01:16:32.000 --> 01:16:34.000] medicine in some way, shape,
[01:16:34.000 --> 01:16:36.000] or form, which to me
[01:16:36.000 --> 01:16:38.000] that would be a bit of a red flag
[01:16:38.000 --> 01:16:40.000] anywhere after this point, especially if somebody brings
[01:16:40.000 --> 01:16:42.000] it up in the context of COVID.
[01:16:42.000 --> 01:16:44.000] But anyway, he
[01:16:44.000 --> 01:16:46.000] he also worked to
[01:16:46.000 --> 01:16:48.000] help foster
[01:16:48.000 --> 01:16:50.000] youth, people, youth
[01:16:50.000 --> 01:16:52.000] who are in foster homes and that type of thing
[01:16:52.000 --> 01:16:54.000] because of his background. But he does have some
[01:16:54.000 --> 01:16:56.000] good things. They're kind of standard Republican
[01:16:56.000 --> 01:16:58.000] stuff. Promising to cut
[01:16:58.000 --> 01:17:00.000] taxes, lower costs, secure the state,
[01:17:00.000 --> 01:17:02.000] and make government work for the people, that type
[01:17:02.000 --> 01:17:04.000] of thing. It's kind of boilerplate Republican
[01:17:04.000 --> 01:17:06.000] rhetoric that's there.
[01:17:06.000 --> 01:17:08.000] But he does talk about freezing property taxes.
[01:17:08.000 --> 01:17:10.000] That is something that is important.
[01:17:10.000 --> 01:17:12.000] I don't know specifically
[01:17:12.000 --> 01:17:14.000] what his plans are. I mean, you know, we have
[01:17:14.000 --> 01:17:16.000] what's the guy's name?
[01:17:16.000 --> 01:17:18.000] In Indiana.
[01:17:18.000 --> 01:17:20.000] He ran for governor
[01:17:20.000 --> 01:17:22.000] as a Libertarian. He had a very specific
[01:17:22.000 --> 01:17:24.000] way to limit
[01:17:24.000 --> 01:17:26.000] property taxes. I thought
[01:17:26.000 --> 01:17:28.000] Donald Rainwater, that was his name.
[01:17:28.000 --> 01:17:30.000] And his idea was, okay, let's just fix
[01:17:30.000 --> 01:17:32.000] it at something like seven percent. And you pay it
[01:17:32.000 --> 01:17:34.000] once, just like you do
[01:17:34.000 --> 01:17:36.000] when you buy a car or something. You pay it once.
[01:17:36.000 --> 01:17:38.000] And so you could either take
[01:17:38.000 --> 01:17:40.000] that seven percent and pay it all up front and
[01:17:40.000 --> 01:17:42.000] hold it into your 30-year mortgage,
[01:17:42.000 --> 01:17:44.000] or you could pay it over
[01:17:44.000 --> 01:17:46.000] seven years, one percent a year for seven years,
[01:17:46.000 --> 01:17:48.000] and then you're done.
[01:17:48.000 --> 01:17:50.000] You pay it at the closing, and you're
[01:17:50.000 --> 01:17:52.000] done. Or you pay it over a
[01:17:52.000 --> 01:17:54.000] seven-year period, and you're done.
[01:17:54.000 --> 01:17:56.000] And I think that's really wise.
[01:17:56.000 --> 01:17:58.000] I think it is criminal that
[01:17:58.000 --> 01:18:00.000] we can't own property. And we can't own
[01:18:00.000 --> 01:18:02.000] property as long as we are
[01:18:02.000 --> 01:18:04.000] under the idea of property taxes. So at
[01:18:04.000 --> 01:18:06.000] least he's looking at that. He's saying
[01:18:06.000 --> 01:18:08.000] to freeze it, not to end it.
[01:18:08.000 --> 01:18:10.000] He's also talking about cutting the state income
[01:18:10.000 --> 01:18:12.000] tax. Again, cutting
[01:18:12.000 --> 01:18:14.000] it rather than eliminating it. But if you look
[01:18:14.000 --> 01:18:16.000] further into his policies, he's saying that he wants
[01:18:16.000 --> 01:18:18.000] to cut it in half in four years
[01:18:18.000 --> 01:18:20.000] and eliminate it by eight years.
[01:18:20.000 --> 01:18:22.000] So, again,
[01:18:22.000 --> 01:18:24.000] I don't have
[01:18:24.000 --> 01:18:26.000] any problem with most of the stuff that he's got here.
[01:18:26.000 --> 01:18:28.000] But
[01:18:28.000 --> 01:18:30.000] I do have concerns when he talks about making
[01:18:30.000 --> 01:18:32.000] government education more efficient. I just,
[01:18:32.000 --> 01:18:34.000] you know, when you start talking about
[01:18:34.000 --> 01:18:36.000] education, there's even a role of the government.
[01:18:36.000 --> 01:18:38.000] You'd lose me at that point, personally,
[01:18:38.000 --> 01:18:40.000] as you all know, if you've heard me
[01:18:40.000 --> 01:18:42.000] speak. He says,
[01:18:42.000 --> 01:18:44.000] use technology and AI to eliminate
[01:18:44.000 --> 01:18:46.000] wasteful spending and improve services.
[01:18:46.000 --> 01:18:48.000] You know, I could
[01:18:48.000 --> 01:18:50.000] get behind a candidate who would say,
[01:18:50.000 --> 01:18:52.000] let's eliminate AI
[01:18:52.000 --> 01:18:54.000] from government.
[01:18:54.000 --> 01:18:56.000] Let's prohibit government
[01:18:56.000 --> 01:18:58.000] from using AI, because it's going to be used
[01:18:58.000 --> 01:19:00.000] to surveil us.
[01:19:00.000 --> 01:19:02.000] It's going to be used to propagandize
[01:19:02.000 --> 01:19:04.000] us. It's going to be used to
[01:19:04.000 --> 01:19:06.000] audit us and everything that we do.

[01:19:08.000 --> 01:19:10.000] of AI completely from
[01:19:10.000 --> 01:19:12.000] government. It reminds me of that
